Amber Chase on Porn on College Campuses |
Monday, May 31, 2010 by M. Dickinson
More porn on college campuses…. Earlier this month, I heard about an Atheist group from the University of Texas at San Antonio that was holding a rally of sorts in the style of the gun trade in programs from the 1990s where people would bring in guns for toys or gift cards or something nifty. But this campaign was called “Smut for Smut” and people were encouraged to bring in their bibles to trade them for porn.
On one hand, porn is cool, and sex sells, so it’d just a marketing ploy to draw attention to their organization; plus the evils of organized religion have left a scar on mankind’s ability to get along (which I guess was one of their main points).
And let us not forget that both the organizers of the event and the Christian groups protesting the event have a right to express their beliefs in a non-harmful manner regardless of what you or I think about their beliefs. And I suppose if the goal is to broaden one’s mind then it’s clever – in fact, I like the word smut it’s fun.
I’m sure the concept drew a lot of people that just thought it was funny or interesting.
On the other hand, they targeted one religion and that doesn’t seem very atheistic , just anti-western religion and doesn’t ring of the type of diversity encouragement
I’m use to from campus events lol. But really, the thing that gets me is that I feel the analogy is misplaced. The bible was written for a specific time period, and has
been used to control the population, political agendas, and the combined conception of reality, as well as inspire those who would have done so anyway to lead honest lives. Conversely, Porn is based in the freedom of expression, the only demographics that it is interested in is the willing consumer, porn has limited a political agenda or influence; it isn’t repressive of the natural impulses of sexuality, and in fact, encourages the exploration of whatever possibilities interest the audience in a virtual and imaginative way (well it can, but I guess it’s not
reallllllllllllllly a requirement); plus, studies have shown porn does not influence deviant sexual behavior that would not already have been expressed by that
individual.
So, I’m sure that some thought it disrespectful to compare porn to the religious text, but I find it disrespectful in reverse. I mean the thought of religious themed porn is kinda kinky and hot, and the freedom of sexuality common to pornography is kinda liberating in a ah-Ah-ahAhhhh sort of way but in their comparison weren’t they really still saying that porn is negative? Hmmmm |

Amber Chase promises to masterbate! |
Monday, May 31, 2010 by M. Dickinson
Well… recently, there’s been some troubling issues surrounding free speech and the perception of boundaries, religion, comics, and the understanding of social satire
vs blasphemy. The topic IS NOT what I’m writing about because it’s so terribly negative and frankly scary. I encourage you to educate yourself. I support the author’s right to refuse to self censor their expression out of fear of death threats. But since such tremendous energy has been directed with hate and negativity towards free speech lately I wanted to share with you a positive celebration of free speech and freedom of sexuality.
As inspired by the San Francisco sex positive event Portland is about to experience the “ 10th Annual Portland Masturbate-a-thon
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 5, 2010
Darklady Announces New Venue & Date for 10th Annual Portland Masturbate-a-thon
Portland, OR) – Darklady has secured the stylish Hawthorne Boulevard nightclub 720 for her 10th Annual Portland Masturbate-a-thon. “A Decade of Decadence” will be the
theme for this year’s soiree, which traditionally attracts 250 to 300 guests from a multitude of sexual, social, professional, and personal backgrounds. Although May is
technically “National Masturbation Month,” the 2010 Portland Masturbate-a-thon will be celebrated in grand style on Saturday, June 12th, 2010.
“720 is a truly impressive-looking club, with a classy and decidedly sexy black and red leather couch lounge atmosphere, complete with brass stripper poles,” says
organizer and event ringleader, Darklady. “It’s like nothing my guests have enjoyed during past Portland Masturbate-a-thons. The best part is that you’re guaranteed to be spending time with some of the nicest, most interesting people you’ll ever hope to meet, learning about, and sampling, some of the most innovative erotic
stimulation devices on the market today – and helping worthy, sex-positive causes, both locally and nationally. It’s definitely a win-win for everyone involved.”
A percentage of the door, in addition to all silent auction funds raised and hygiene, household, pet, and food donations collected during the event, will benefit
Esther’s Pantry, the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, and the newly-formed adult consumer-focused non-profit, the Free Speech Alliance.

So in a celebration of sexual freedom and freedom of expression and speech Oregon is unique in its honest constitutional interpretation in allowing an event like this. I am proud to say that I am going to be one of the performers participating in the event. I think that Noname Jane will be performing with me, she is so sexy and we
have such good fun every time we’re together. We’ve traveled together several times and have even done a scene for Girlfriends Films last Summer (a Bus Stop Scene). I
have never been to an event like this, but I bet it’ll be really sexy.
Everybody does it.
I’ve been masturbating for as long as I can remember. Although I use naughty toys often now, I use to hump my pillow. I did again for the first time in a long long
time. It was pretty sexy, but I felt so vulnerable, exploring something I use to keep so private, in front of Mert. It was exciting. I love showing off. I can’t
imagine how turned on I’m going be fucking my pussy in front of all those horny fuckers. Plus I think that it’s awesome that it benefits charity.
Masturbation confession Sometimes I like toys *but mostly when others use them on me Easiest way to make myself cum, the move I call “Playing the piano” index and middle
finger on either side of the clitoral hood raising finger up and down on either side until I’m all wet and juicy.
If you follow my twitter you’d also know that I love to masturbate in public places.., mmmmmm
I can hardly wait.

Interview with Gina Lynn!!!! |
Sunday, March 14, 2010 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the industry for 10 years and they went quick. I got started when I was on a photo shoot with Travis in Vegas when we were approached about doing a video so we decided to give it a try and here I am today, that movie was called 18 in Vegas. There have been a lot of fun times but some bad ones too but I have had a good career for
the most part.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
Yes and I really don't understand why they are up our
ass' when there is so much more this country needs to
worry about. All the crime, war and homelessness is what they should be focused on.
3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers"
are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn".
Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films
or the web?
I have never heard or know of anyone that is affiliated with child pornography. Travis has two beautiful teenage kids and when their mom tried to take them away because of us being in the industry she used everything possible in court including that I was sleeping with under age boys. Note that she is religious and part of a big church so they are quick to judge even though the Bible says "Judge not lest ye be judged". I know that because Travis dad is
a Baptist preacher. Needless to say she lost and we have 1/2 custody and she hates us but we are not bad people at all we just make adult entertainment for adult only viewing pleasures! Sorry I got side tracked, LOL. When we go on set we must provide 2 forms of government issued ID, sign a release form saying these are true ID's and that we are not on drugs, alcohol and know what we are taking place in. We must have a valid AIM Panel test which needs to be retaken
every 30 days. I feel safer in the industry than I would hooking up at a bar.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I dont watch much TV so I cant make a statement on these particular shows but we do have something called Freedom of Speech!
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I have done some pretty hardcore stuff in my career so I must say it sells because their are some crazy fucking people out there and the harder the better but we must be careful not to piss off those government officials that are waiting to jump on stuff like this.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
Well I did do a scene for Facial Abuse.com and
will never do it again. I think that is drawing the line
and its probably only a matter of time until they are looked at.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Ha ha well it's part of human nature to be attracted to sex and what makes us feel good. On the other hand we can get carried away so its probably not a bad thing that they regulate it to a certain extent. We should just be smart and courteous about how we display it.
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true?
Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies? WOW this is a tough one because their are a lot of young people in the business that probably don't care because this is a dream come true/spotlight and their only thinking about themselves. On the other hand their are those of us that have established a business from the industry wether that be a production company for DVD, web site, distribution or adult toy lines that need to be concerned about the freedom of speech.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Totally opposite, I am very quite and sometimes shy. I am very sexual active though wether I'm masturbating or having sex it seems like the older I get the hornier I am.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
I think the craziest movie I have done was Gina Lynn's Darkside the whole movie.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Yes I was named in AVN as one of the Top 40 Most Influential People in the business
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
It sells and people like to see young girls getting fucked hard with big dicks. Right?
13) What is your website? http://GinaLynn.com & http://GinaLynnProductions.com

Interview with Paul Allen of Nightmoves |
Sunday, March 14, 2010 by M. Dickinson
What do you do in the adult entertainment industry?
I am the pubisher of NightMoves Magazine, an adult entertainment publication located in Tampa Bay Florida since 1988.
Do you think free speech and the adult industry is under attack?
I think now is the most important time in recent history for all American's to stand up and fight for our rights to free speech.
Do you think all speech should be protected?
I think there needs to be some type of difference between free speech and offensive conduct. Everything needs some type boundary .... you know the saying "there's a fine line between love and hate", that line needs to be found and identified in all phases of life.
How long have you been in the industry?
I started publishing NightMoves in 1988. It has been my primary source of income, my job, my passion and my hobby all at the same time.
What do you think of the misconception the adult industry is one full of those trying to prey lure in underage performers?
Any and all professional adult film companies (Wicked, Vivid, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve, etc) go out of their way to insure that all actors and employees are of legal age. Any company found to use underage people in
any form or fashion should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
This is a billion dollar industry and not an underage "kiddie porn" cheap movie idea.
What do you think of regular tv programming? Is it offensive?
I wouldn't say I'm offended by the programs, but sometimes surprised at the content. I greatly enjoy both programs.
Will there be a adult industry as we know it in the future?
I think the internet is hurting adult book and video stores as well as the print media as a whole.
Does America have a fascination with sex?
America has no greater fascination with sex than any other country .... the difference is American's consider sex "dirty" and/or "naughty". Nudity and sex in Europe is far more open and accepted.
What is your website?
http://nightmovesusa.com (being 100% over-hauled as we speak). We also have a huge my-space page at http://myspace.com/nightmovesmagazine.
Anything else you'd like to add:
Sex and adult entertainment has been around since Adam & Eve's time in the Garden of Eden. Men and women will continue to be entertained and look for sexual pleasures no matter what local or national laws are put in place.
Prostitution is legal in Nevada, parts of Canada and numerous places around the world .... I do not understand why it is such a problem in the USA. If prostitution was legalized it would generate income for local communities
and help fight STD's and other sexual diseases as girls would have mandatory medical checkups. The adult entertainment industry is a professionally run, billion dollar industry. Is it perfect, hell no. I dare you to find an industry that is. Religion has it's Tammy Faye Bakers and Roman Catholic priests, Oil has it's Enrons, health has it's AIG's, etc, etc, etc. I think it's time for our Government to grow up, look at the big picture and work
with the adult industry and not against it.

Censorship at Virginia Tech!! |
Monday, February 15, 2010 by M. Dickinson
Va. Tech paper may lose funding over online comments
Anonymous comments -- examples of both free speech and hateful rhetoric -- have put Virginia Tech's student newspaper and the university on the brink of severing the tenuous tie that links them.
Unhappy with online postings to Collegiate Times stories, Tech's Commission on Student Affairs is seeking to dissolve a contract with the nonprofit company that oversees student media and is threatening to block advertising from the paper.
The disagreement no longer is an issue just about anonymous postings, said Sara Mitchell, editor-in-chief of the Collegiate Times.
"It's about the university trying to control our content," she said.
Her paper got backing yesterday from the ACLU of Virginia, which told the commission that ending support would violate the First Amendment right to freedom of the press.
Edward Spencer, Tech's vice president for student affairs, sees the dispute differently.
"This isn't about free speech," he said.
The problem is the Collegiate Times policy that has allowed its Web site to become "a big graffiti wall" for comments that can be "very racist, sexist, xenophobic and alarmist."
"Anyone anywhere in the world" can write a comment anonymously that becomes a reflection on the Tech community, he said.
Mitchell said CT staffers had been having "a civil dialogue" with the commission for the past year and half about the policy, but a Feb. 4 resolution passed by the commission has ended that.
"The discussion is closed at this point," said Mitchell, a junior political science major from Vienna in Fairfax County.
The resolution asked the university not to renew a $70,000 contract with Educational Media Company at Virginia Tech until the issue is resolved.
In response, the nonprofit company's general manager has advised Collegiate Times staffers to break off discussions with the commission.
"It has become abusive," said Kelly Wolff, who termed the commission's action coercive and punitive. "I'm not going to put my students through that."
The newspaper largely is self-sufficient through its advertising revenue, Wolff said. Ending university funding would hurt other student media overseen by the agreement, including the yearbook, the literary magazine, and radio and television stations.
A letter to Wolff from Michelle McLeese, a sociology graduate student who is chairwoman of the commission, threatened also to end advertising support. She said the commission will consider a resolution next week asking that the newspaper be disqualified from receiving ads from student organizations.
The 42-member commission includes 26 students and is part of the university's governing system. It reports to the University Council, but a final ruling on the contract ultimately would be made by the president, said Spencer, a commission member.
"I hope it doesn't get to that point," he said.
What prompted the escalation of the dispute were postings on a story about the annual diversity summit in January that focused on the Asian community, he said.
It was a simple announcement that drew "a slew of outrageous comments," he said. Although some were removed by CT editors, two that "were just atrocious" were left on the Web site.
The comments referred to the Virginia Tech massacre by a student who was a native of South Korea and the beheading of a Chinese international student by another student from China.
Anonymous, online postings -- as opposed to signed letters to the editor that appear in print -- are allowed on most collegiate and professional newspaper Web sites, which have policies for removing abusive comments.
But Spencer maintains such policies, including the CT policy of burying comments behind links that hide them from immediate view, amount to censorship. He said CT should be consistent in its policies.
Pressuring the paper to change its policy to require all comments be signed is not censorship by the university, he said.
But Mitchell disagreed. She said CT staffers stand behind "our policy and our right to make that policy."
The Educational Media Company at Virginia Tech contract, in place since 1997 at the same annual amount of $70,000, gives student media editorial freedom, Wolff said.
Spencer said it is an ongoing contract, funded by student fees, that also provides free operating space for the media. The contract requires a two-year notification before the arrangement would end.
Most universities give student media editorial freedom along with financial support and space to operate. The University of Virginia, where the Cavalier Daily is independent and pays rent for its offices, is an exception.
Miles Hilder, editor of The Flat Hat at the College of William and Mary, said his paper's online posting policy is similar to Tech's. The paper removes some comments but tends to be lenient in what it allows, he said. The staff recently considered and rejected a proposal requiring users to register before they could comment on the site.
The Flat Hat receives funding but has no faculty adviser and no oversight from the college, said Hilder, a senior from Chicago.
At Tech, Wolff compared student media arrangements to a school football team, which has coaches but only the students are allowed to play. "In this case, only the students get to decide what their content is." |

Interview with Ellen of Hott Magazine |
Monday, February 15, 2010 by M. Dickinson
1) What is your connection/concern with free speech?
My concern would be if people do not pay attention to the small things that are happening where free speech and rights are involved they may wake up one day and not have any.
2) How do you feel about what is going on, do you think free speech is under attack? How do you feel about our defenses to the attacks?
I think attacks on free speech are being used as a weapon of coercement by groups or individuals who threaten to impose there agenda on you. Attacking free speech has become a easy way for publicity (or cheap recruiting)
because it is one right the people will fight for is their right to free speech without that were would we be. We need better boundaries and the laws have to be equal when it comes rights versus morality. While some may find some
free speech material morally repulsive it is still our legal right to speak it.
The only defense is stand together stay organized, and know the laws well. Pick your battles carefully and do not back down free speech is a constitutional right.Take nothing for granted when it come to free speech.
3) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have probably been in the industry for about 20 years in various forms. My best friend dragged me to a strip club on the jersey shore when i was 22 she was a dancer there
it was nothing like i expected i few days later i was working there. Out of necessity we decided to try to make
a dance costume with a sewing machine bought years earlier (neither of us could sew) Over the next few years
I got good at making them and they started selling i switched from stage then to full time dancer outfits.Over several years it got bigger I moved to Florida added the swimsuit line and several other people to make them it
just took off.
I have always had fun in this industry what you see is what you get, most people I have met in this industry are open minded and not as judgmental as the average public. They respect your choice to be different as long as you respect theirs.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
If a show really bothered me i would just change the channel not every show is for everyone what i think is funny
the next person thinks is awful. Kind of hard not to like those shows while we are filming a promo for the metal chef
a long haired cook with a Jeckyl and Hyde personality doing a cooking show and actually cooking real food. The humor is defiantly not for everyone.
I think what people are most offended about is on some level they relate to the jokes but just do not want to admit it or feel if they do they would be outcast or ridiculed by their friends. Apparently the truth can be a very scary thing. The same reason people get offended is the same reason the shows are so popular.
5) Who are some of the musicial influences you have or music you have been influenced by?
I grew up on metal , helloween, dio, iron maiden, zakk wylde, ozzy, queensryche, king diamond, dream theater, type o negative, twisted sister, scorpions, there are way to many to list.
Probably the most influential people were the ones i actually played or worked with over the years.
6)Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Simple it's because it is a basic primal instinct we are born to reproduce and that normally requires sex.
Depending on whatever morals were embedded in there head at a young age or beliefs that is how people are conditioned to perceive sex. The human brain has so many areas we do not know even how to use yet or all of what stimulates it and anything we cannot understand we are absolutely fascinated with, intrigued with or seduced by.
As for regulation why not it is perfectly legal to give it away so why if someone gets a license and pays tax can they not sell sex while you may not agree with, this is a persons own choice what to do with his/her body.
Many prescription and non prescription drugs are unregulated and are on tv everyday and judging by all of the lawsuits and wrongful deaths i see ,seems like
the state of Nevada may have gotten it right when it comes to sex. When was the last time you read about a lawsuit reading man dies while paying for sex.
7) Do you think there is any interest or any great concern amongst artists of all types- musicians, writers, photographers, etc- that there rights are under attack?
Always, there is always someone out there either trying to make a name for them self or group by attacking someone else's rights. There are a lot of people and groups who also attack for free publicity. We have become a finger pointing put the blame on someone else generation
and thats scary.Which is why so many bands and photographers have problems, many times people need to blame others for why the child or convict did what they did the music made him do it he saw images. Its much easier to point a finger than get to the real root of the problem and fix it and as long as that continues there will always be artists looking over there shoulder.
8) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
It is hard to change how people have been conditioned to this industry the average person is so afraid of how they will be judged by others if they accept it or are seen as related to it.It's a business like any other business and should be treated as such not separated and hassled
because of personal and moral beliefs we are supposed to have a separation of church and state. But apparently that only comes into play when when it is convenient.I do think over the last few years the industry has become more mainstream acceptable . I have talked to many people about why they have those opinions of the industry many of them just have never been in a club or met someone from the industry as a person not as a porn star and yes they are real people.
9) What is your website?

10) Anything else you'd like to add:
To quote a song line - if you don't stand for something you will fall for anything. |

Amber Chase on the Female Body |
Monday, February 08, 2010 by M. Dickinson
The Female Body is just Obscene, well, at least some of them.
It’s good to share happy news http://business.avn.com/articles/37255.html and small victories. Now, I don’t really have anything to chime in about regarding her taxes or her custody battle, those seem like fairly personal things and none of our business. But earlier this month (and from the sounds of it in a prior verdict as well) a judge made the decision that porn star Janine Lindemulder http://freejanine.com couldn’t operate in the adult industry until her court
conditions were resolved, and I’ve been stewing on it since I heard about all that mess. I mean it’s her career, how can that be possible. I mean, sure, if a mobster says wackin the rat finks is his job, maybe that doesn’t fly, but we’re not talking about an illegal activity that harms others. I understand that a judge can bar a citizen from doing illegal activities, stalking their ex, or beating on their domestic partner; that kind of thing makes perfect sense, but how is it possible for the authorities ban someone from their job in a completely legal industry?
I think that Portland, Oregon, had a program a while back that was, like, some zero tolerance area where people who were convicted of drugs or prostitution weren’t allowed there (to be caught there), but after a while it was withdrawn because it violated the civil liberties of people who had legitimate business or residence in these areas, but had previously made poor choices. I am not an anarchist, and I am all for governmental regulation where appropriate , but really that’s the issue… How far is too far? How effective are these types of strategies? I’m guessing not very after all most of the types of crimes they were targeting were economic and on the personal level. But it’s easy to target, easier than the more troubling issues at least. Fortunately, for Janine and for the rest of us, today there was a temporary reversal of opinion that will allow her to shoot one film with Vivid before she has to relinquish her time to a halfway house in Oregon. YAY for the small victory and at least the Pacific Northwest is cool!
This whole thing really got me thinking about the government and our personal sexuality. I heard on NPR that French was proposing (or passed) a law in which you could not nag your husband, call your wife fat, or bitch about either’s infidelity. UH…. Hmmmmm…. Seems very French to do those things, but then again it also sounds very French for them to propose these regulations too *eh it could work lol* Yet it seems like a step too far and in the wrong direction.
But the story that tops the cake this week comes to us from Australia. The land of the down under has apparently been trying to figure out how to control smut. Not only is internet filtering a strong movement, but also heavily considered is the requirement for R rated movies to display a warning label and be treated as if they were pornography. And here I thought China was the big cheese in the censorship news lately. However, the aspect that totally gets me is that …Senator Joyce claimed that publications featuring small-breasted women were encouraging pedophilia and that a ban should be in place restricting the publication of performers (of legal age) who have A-cup size breasts engaging in porn. Furthermore, Aussies are not cool with the squirt either.
OK Technically they are banning the publication of any pornography in which the performer “appears to be” underage. Vague. But, at a classification board training
session, supposedly, breast size was one of the qualifications. The wordage did not limit the ban to say the depiction of incest or other clear definition to curb the victimization of children, (which I’m pretty sure is already on the obscenity list) but rather the youthful appearance which is subjective and lame. Indeed, the ban
does not target or penalize publishers who are actually using underage girls, because that’s not happening. UMMM, hello, this industry has certain producers are
regulated and records of each model’s age are required to be kept by 18 U.S.C. 2257 and 28 C.F.R. part 75. So if a chick is on film produced by a company that is
publishing the material for money in a commercial location or on the internet that model is an adult. And if someone is looking for kiddie-porn, it’s not made by the companies that the Australian government is targeting. That’s an underground exchange, a smarmy network of anonymous predators. Maybe focus the attention there instead of attacking an unassuming windmill.
In essence, this is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It uses ideology of protecting helpless children; it gets us all emotional about the possible sexual objectification of kids, when in reality this censorship is about restricting the rights of adults who participate in an activity with joy and their own freewill, while allowing it to be documented in order to share with other like minded adults.
Porn in not broadcast in the streets, shining its glowing black light corners of elementary schools, illuminating that lost flesh toned crayola from 1985. So WTF?
Now I’m not trying to impose my western ideas on anyone (not directly at least – I mean I do have an internet site now, amberchasexxx and I’d love to have fans talk
with me from around the world) and I’m not even trying to make others accept porn or certain types of porn. It’s their right to establish their own autonomous government
based on cultural expectations and community standards. But since they are cool with a little bit of porn, it’s just plain discriminatory for them to single out chicks with little titties and youthful appearances. Furthermore, for those who cry “won’t somebody think of the children”…. This isn’t going to curb the victimization of children, porn doesn’t cause violence, it is the fucked up people who cause
violence. In fact, I would reason that this isn’t about protecting the children at all, at least not from pedophiles, but it might be aimed at protecting them from
porn itself. Just like I said about the topic of exploitation…. If your prohibit pornography it will not go away, a sub market will develop without regulations and
the safety inherent to a transparent system. Beyond the issues of free speech and expression, and the rights as a consumer, it basically places an arbitrary quality
on the acceptable beauty and really when you look at the letter of the law and infer what it means….. some women’s bodies are obscene.

Interview with Ivan! |
Monday, February 01, 2010 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I've been in the industry for around 6 and a half years. I got in it when my brother, Ricky D, who was working for Extreme Associates, Evolution Erotica and XPW (Rob Black's wrestling promotion) introduced me to them. I was working on a TV Show called The X Show on FX Networks and actually wound up getting Lizzy Borden on it. Rob Black asked me to shoot some wrestling shows, which led them to asking me to shoot BTS for both Evolution Erotica and Extreme Associates. I actually turned down a job on The Bachelor to
join Extreme. After a few on set experiences I asked for an opportunity to prove to my bossed that I can shoot circles around some people. I wound up shooting around 12 DVD bonus scenes then they gave me free reign to do what I wanted.
I have had an amazing time in Adult ... good and bad. But definitely stories you can only imagine seeing in movies.
2) Along your rise in the industry have you been concerned with the rights of the adult industry?
Yes it's sad that we have people going to jail for making movies.
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
That is one of the silliest misconceptions about porn. If anything we take more care then anyone when it comes to minors. The Adult industry has a bullseye on it already so why would anyone try to do this? Plus people in porn are not child molesters. We are adults, shooting adults, doing adult acts for Adults. Child porn is an act of crime by horrible people who are molesters. People in porn love sex with adults and not children. On set we check all forms of IDs, we check AIM tests, we make sure all releases are
signed and doubled checked with signatures to the ID's. We are not in the business of luring children into our world.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park/Family Guy/cartoons? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people? Do you read often? What do you read?
I recently started reading again. You'll be surprised that the last two books I read were by Stan Romanek about his Alien Abductions and a Bill O'Reilly book. He has interesting theories about the world. I agree with
some of his views but he is a bit too overbearing on his conservative opinions. I have to tell you that MTV offends me more then those cartoons.
MTV has become a breeding ground for everything that children should not be watching. At least with those cartoons, they are in the evenings where parents should be monitoring what their children watch. MTV on the other
hand is 24/7 adult entertainment. I believe that those cartoons are done to make fun of some of the stereotypes and racist feelings. I am jew and loved "When you wish upon a Weinstein" Family Guy episode. That was priceless.
People need to grow thicker skins.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions? Or about the recent court hearings with Max Hardcore going to jail, and Rob Black at Extreme Associates pleading guilty to obscenity in hopes of not going to jail.
That's an interesting subject since I worked for Rob Black for over 3 years and amidst the trial. I do not believe people should be going to jail over making movies. But I also believe in not yelling fire in a crowded theater. When working for Extreme I often asked why are we shooting this
stuff and was told because fans like it. Back then hardcore was shot by many companies. And I believe a lot was force fed to the people. It's kind of like if you only have spam to eat or been given to eat after a while you
begin to enjoy it or crave it. When working at Extreme I avoided shooting the rougher stuff, concentrating on more elaborate fun scenes. They never asked me shoot anything I wasn't comfortable doing and same went for the talent. So in my experiences with Rob Black, he got shafted by the
government.
6) As a director, when you are shooting a scene, or coming up with a scene, or telling the performers what you want done, have you ever had to stop and say, well if they do that it may piss someone off or have you ever shot something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
Before every scene I sit and talk to the girl(s). We chat, I make them feel comfortable, we share life stories and I find out what they are comfortable doing. To me it's simple, I look at everyone woman in the business as someone's daughter, sister, girlfriend, mother, etc. So what gives me the right to screw with their day, their head or their life?
Everyone has a story and life outside of set ... i would never try to make their experience on my set effect them as they go home. Yeah, there are directors asking for BJ's or for girls to do more then they are comfortable doing. Not on my sets and I think any performer who has ever stepped on my set will vouch for that. In fact, their comfort level often leads them to doing more on camera then expected whether it's a better scene or something new they were willing to try. I often have agents letting me shoot their
girl's first scenes because of this trust level. For instance, this reputation helped me shoot Dakoda Brookes' first double vag., cream pie, anal, and DP. She approached me about all of them.
I have never shot anything deemed illegal or against the performer's will. And I am not here to try and piss people off. I try to make the best spank movies possible for the fans to enjoy.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Religious Right I believe is the answer. They are uptight in public yet do the things they consider evil behind closed doors. Very hypocritical.
8) You are at the highest level of the adult industry. A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves
and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?
The new crop of people joined the Industry for a buck or the "fame" of being a "pornstar". Obviously there are people that care but many simply want the quick money and move on. For people who have made it a career and
are dedicated to their craft, struggle to compete and survive. And are fighting for these rights all the time. I guess the issue is that porn for many is a quick stop for a quick buck, so I guess people can't be really
blamed for not jumping on board for many of the issues surrounding our business.
9) What are your creative influences? Where do you get the ideas you have? What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
I watch a lot of movies. Since I do Independent Horror movies, I tend to gravitate towards that. Shooting a few horror porn spoofs pre this spoof buzz in 2004. People seem to say I have the best trailers and teases out
there. I try to incorporate my rigs, lighting styles, camera and editing tricks into much of my work. I am heavily influenced by mainstream trailers. Often I would spend hours watching them to get ideas. Same go
for movies. I just watch and absorb then try to recreate it myself on a porn budget.
Craziest thing I seen on set was watching Julie Night swallow 5 goldfish with 2 loads then throwing them all up into a fishbowl. This was all captured for Up Your Ass (Extreme Associates) and for a BBC Documentary
"Porn King vs. the Government" The craziest was being at Extreme Associates one day, as in one room a midget/gimp was hung on a cross dressed as Jesus as girls dressed as Nuns shot colorful enemas out of their asses as the
scene went on, WHILE in another room a girl was being choked and slapped around during a BJ scene for one of the Slap Happy moves AND in another room Lizzy Borden was doing a photo shoot for Evil Threads with a giant goat
(non-sex obviously). GOATS, MIDGETS, and WHORES oh MY!
10) What do you think of mainstream filmmaking becoming more and more graphic or sexual, for lack of a better word? A film like Hostel or Hostel 2, lots of nudity, blood, torture. Do you think if there as a adult film like that, a fake storyline with torture but with real sex, it would face
a much greater deal of scrutny-or even be deemed obscene?
Strange right? I walked out of Saw VI, saying that that was the most obscene and graphic crap I have ever seen! And simply done for people's enjoyment. How's that different? Just because the MPAA says it's only an R
Rating then it's okay? Why can't we do the same thing? It's this weird hang-up with sex that causes this. I think maybe this is where having really hardcore scenes in porn for the sake of having it that hardcore, hurts us.
Maybe in general public's eye it's violence for the sake of violence. BUT with that theory is Saw and Hostel and any of the Friday the 13th movies should fall into that category. Aren't those movies violence for the sake
of violent entertainment?
11) What do you think the future of the adult business is? Small studio gonzo or big studio feature? Is there a market for both? Will the impact of internet sales help one more so then the other?
I think internet is killing gonzo. So now we have parodies helping companies survive. Until the internet companies start shooting storyline movies the feature companies will survive while as we see Gonzo companies die off. It's DVD sales, simple and plain. Fans can get all kinds of gonzo
scenes online but not really features. So there is our dilemma as gonzo pornographers.
12) Piracy. What kind of threat do you see from it? Does it anger you when people download/watch your movies off of websites without paying for them? What should be done? Does it help/hurt that technology allows for such a easy transfer of media?
Piracy sucks on all levels. Music, mainstream and porn. I have friends who bitch about porn piracy yet have no problem's downloading the new mainstream movies. That's hypocritical. At least if you down load the movie go still see it in the theater. So the filmmaker who busted his butt
and spent a lot of his life on it gets the deserved reward. Yes I can't stand piracy but many of us contribute to it whether we like to admit it or not.
13) What is your website?
My website is IamIVAN.com and you can find on there my award winning blog, my reel, my trailers and pretty much my whole life. It's a magical wonderland of a Porn Director.
14) Anything else you'd like to add:
Yes. First I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my thoughts and vent about life. And anyone interested in my new venture checkout Puba.com. We are in process of doing 9 pornstar websites with some of the biggest names in the biz. And thank you to people who contact me daily about my work and just to say hello.

1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the industry for four months. I have a great
time, people are very open and friendly.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
Yes, Very. No one but people in the industry realizes how many jobs will be lost if rights start being taken away.
America doesnt need anymore job cuts.
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
I have not heard of such a case. I broadcast sets live on the internet. Each person in the crew and the talent all sign releases, we make copies of everyones ID's, I print out copies of all the talents AIM tests.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I am not offended by those shows at all. If they mention something touchy I do not take it personally. Life is too short to let things like that get to you. Besides if you do not like those types of programs no one is forcing you to
watch them.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I am personally friends with Jim Lane and I am happy for him. He is a pioneer. There is obviously a market for the things that he produces or he wouldn't keep doing it. He's great.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or
the act anyway?
This does not apply to me
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I think that since sex is something that is just so natural and animalistic people are always trying to control it. People these days want to be in control of everything.
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to
make movies?
I think people in this industry care more than most industries. Everyone is very helpful. People care about each other in this industry. You wouldnt think that would be the case but it really is.
9) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Yes people think it's a very dark industry and everyone is cold and out to make each other fail. Industry businesses run just like any other businesses.
10) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
I think this is because youth is something that only last so long. You can only be so young and so beautiful for so long(for free)LOL I also think that people pushing boundaries seeing how far they can go and 18 is as far as they can go its the bare minimum. I am 18 and people keep telling me you need to do scenes you could make so much money. This one year is sooooo important.
I think its the youth and how sort of risky it feels to people. Fresh.
11) What is your website?
http://METROBABES.COM
12) Anything else you'd like to add:
Few other industries allow the creativity that the Adult Industry allows.

Interview with Justin Snyder! |
Sunday, January 17, 2010 by M. Dickinson
1) How long have you been in the industry? (6 years)
How did you get started? Got a shoot with VCA and the rest is history..
Have you had fun in the industry? I absolutely love what I do. Its one of the funnest jobs Ive ever done...
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
I think the rights of the industry, producers in particular, have been violated a lot lately by pirating and tube sites. I hope it's apparent to those who do it that
they are screwing themselves in the long run. Performers will leave the industry because the rates, budgets and amount of productions have decreased drastically due
to that activity and that the work is getting slim as a result. There will always be girls to shoot but the quality of the girls will go down as the rates do..so anyone
out there who uploads to tube sites or pirates product from our industry isnt doing themselves any justice at all.
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the
legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
That is one of the hugest misconceptions anyone could have about the adult industry. There is a vigorous and strict age verification policy when it comes to the legal process we undertake to document ID, releases and paperwork. I being a father myself disgust in the thought of filming anyone underage and think those who do should be jailed as a result. We all know that the age of consent is 18 and abide by that totally. There are no professional studios I have ever heard of in my 6 years that have ever tried to do such a thing. This industry is for adults to be viewed by
adults only..anyone who does different is scum and should pay a dear price for trying to do so.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
Ive seen some parodies of the shows you mentioned and it doesnt bother me mainly because their conceptions of what takes place in the world of porn are comically exaggerated and/or misinformed so let them have their fun with it. In the long run it only brings curious attention to our business and thus creates new fans..so run with it Mr. McFarland..your makin us famous...
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
Ive performed in movies for JM and like the stuff Kink does. Some of the material is over the top but they do it because there is a large market of viewers who want to
see that kind of thing...I do have my limitations like many in the biz but some don't and if they choose to display that type of stuff as a performer then who am I to judge...Thats what they signed up for...Kink is a specific and creative style of porn and I actually commend them on their way of doing the things they do and how they do it. Some of the other companies not so much but if the fans want to see it, then the industry will produce it..count on it.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or
the act anyway?
I learned that I wont do any degredation scenes where I am the focus of humiliation...it's just not me..I am pure dom and even though there are a couple scenes Ive done that were lets say "different" I have learned what I like to produce and perform in so I stick with that...
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Answering part one of your question is simple...every human being in the world has something between their legs that compells them to be sexual...whether morality or
religion get in the middle of it, we all have sexual urges. Porn is a healthy outlet for those urges in my eyes dispite what people might say. To answer part two, The
ones trying to regulate sex are some of the most perverted people on the planet anyway...just look in the headlines and read about politicians, priests and other
pinned up do gooders who are in jail for being the two faced sorts they are...its just sex..give it a break...
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to
make movies?
If they dont and money is the only reason they do this they should leave the industry to us who do. I for one believe the profits that generate in the adult industry should benefit the performers themselves who put the work into making good stuff.. Thats why I encourage fans to sign up to the personal websites of the performers. Their best work is in there anyway. We as performers all work for other
companies but develop a list of those we want to work for and those we don't..the companies that close their doors as many have lately are indications of the ones who
made things awkward enough for the performers on a regular basis that nobody wanted to shoot for them anymore..or because of mismanagement inside the company. A good
producer is a good producer...One who knows how to get the best from their talent and makes them want to come back and shoot again. I think the best directors in the
biz are those who have been talent themselves because they know what the talent likes and work with them to create a comfortable set which results in an amazing scene for the fans to enjoy...Im with the fans who hate the fake
"lets get through this" type of scene...the companies should take the loss and not produce such content and then blackball the performer who is obviously there just
to get a check..that part of the biz digusts me...If your not in porn to make hot sex scenes then you should disappear into the hooker void and never come
back...male talent despises such girls who think they are above putting their best into a scene.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
I am usually type cast as the thug/bodyguard/gangster type and so I have to say that yes..Its pretty on the mark. Im a professional fighter in real life and an old school punk from So Cal so I like being rough in scenes and especially if the girl likes it that way..Im not to big on kissy kissy vanilla stuff but respect the performers who are. There is a need for all types of erotica in porn and we should
keep the fans happy by producing all types for them to see..
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
Damn..broad question...Ive done some wild group scenes, some DPs with fantastic women who love that and a few gangbangs on girls so I think thats about the
craziest. I guess anything can happen on set but I wont get into the gross stuff that you dont see sometimes happens..ie..anal accidents and the like..lets just not
go there...ew...he he
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
I dont really care what sceptics think. They are living with their own insecurities and shortcomings so bashing others is in their developed make up of who they are. So
the answer to that is no. Love us or hate us, your still talkin about us and when you do that no matter what we get more famous...
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
Its always been a favorite of the fans. The average girl in the biz is 18 to 23 so there is a big market for it. Maybe its the idea that a young girl is getting off to
all the guys and girls out there getting off to them being bad..besides being better to look at...who wants to see their grandma getting plowed? not me thats for damn
sure...he he
13) What is your website?
Thank you for asking.. my premier site up now is
http://pornvalleysluts.com which is a site that shows a lot of the girls in the biz in their natural and horny element. usually shot at their homes or at mine in a relaxed setting..Most of us love to just fuck as much as we can. So when were not on set for one of the big companies, we are usually at eachothers houses fucking on film for
our websites..like I said..the best stuff is in our personal sites..because we are producing what we like to do on out terms.
My other site to go live soon is http://pinktacoteens.com which is an all girl masturbating site...I love to watch girls get themselves off...not fake like but really dig in and make their pussies get off ..like they would do at home anyway..
The last website I have up now with some partners is http://iviewsex.com which is a site that caters to those who want to store their porn on mobile media devices like Ipods or Iphones,,It's fast becoming the preferred way to view porn and store it. Browsers can go to the site and preview any scene before they buy it and we sell the
most inexpensive full scene downloads in the world at only $1.69 per scene...We host every niche and have a lot of cool high quality producers on board so far. The
scenes are all super high quality that show clear as day on Ipod Nanos all the way up to your 62" HDTV that you can plug your mobile media device into...We like to
call it the new ITunes of porn but don't quote me...I dont want a lawsuit...he he..
14) Anything else you'd like to add:
I just want to thank all of the fans who have enjoyed my work over the years and continue to support our industry in a positive way. Knowing most of the performers out there I can speak for us all in saying we do this for their enjoyment and to help them enhance their sex lives.
