FREE SPEECH NEWS
Interview with Dave Pounder! |
Sunday, January 17, 2010 by M. Dickinson
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the industry since August of 2001, so a little over 7 years. Yes, I have had a blast in the industry. The industry gives me the flexibility and lifestyle that I enjoy today.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
I'm not sure what you mean by this question. I fully support the first amendment and think people who produce content by and for consenting adults should be left alone by the government. If you are speaking about content piracy and file sharing, then yes I am concerned that these practices are killing the business as we know it.
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the
legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
The adult industry does NOT support or produce child pornography. I'm sure there is some guy in a basement in Tennessee somewhere shooting child porn and uploading it so some server and trying to make money that way, but I
wouldn't really consider a guy like that part of the legitimate adult entertainment industry. Think of it like the food industry. Just because some sick person is poisoning candy for the kids at Halloween doesn’t mean
the legitimate food manufactures are trying to do the same thing or condoning the behavior. No established adult company (e.g., incorporated, paying taxes, etc.) is involved with child pornography in any capacity, although I'm sure some sick individuals in the country are producing it somewhere. Just as no established food company is producing pot-laced brownies, but there are a few people who may make their own pot-laced brownies. Are those people part of the legitimate food industry? Should we
hate McDonalds because the college kids next door are baking pot brownies?
Should we hate Playboy because some sick person in Kentucky is taking naked pictures of his neighbor's children? In every shoot I have ever done as a performer, the producer/director has always made copies of IDs to ensure
performers are over 18 years of age. I think they do this because it's the law and not because they are these socially conscious pornographers. For example, showing a negative STD test is not the law, and many producers are
less concerned about ensuring those tests are current because there is no risk of legal penalties if they don’t. Personally I think STD testing should be legally mandated to produce adult movies in a commercial capacity. The two places where talents get tested are AIM Healthcare and
Talent Testing Service. Talent Testing Service has a full panel test which includes Hepatitis and Syphilis for just a few extra dollars per month. I think all performers entering the business should also be vaccinated for
Hepatitis A/B as well as HPV (Gardisil). The only time I have ever heard of an underage girl being used in a legitimate porn shoot is when she had a fake ID that looked valid. The producer can only do so much to ensure her
ID is valid. If it looks authentic, the birth date on the ID says she is over 18, and she validated verbally on a video release as well as signed many pieces of legal paperwork attesting to the fact she is at least 18, I'm
not sure what else the producer can do. We can't expect producers to call the DMV and verify the info before a shoot, just as we can't expect a bartender to call the state every time someone enters the bar to verify
their age. I think it would be a good idea to have "Porn Licenses", similar to exotic dancer licenses that they have in Las Vegas, which would be issued by the state. This would push the burden of proof to the state and make
things much easier on the producer's end. In my almost 8 years in the industry, I only had 1 girl that turned out to use a fake ID, and thankfully she was over 18 at the time we shot her so we didn't need to pull the content. I also had a girl that emailed me about doing porn and wanted to
setup an appointment. She told me she was 18, but she never showed to the appointment. About 8 months later I get another email from her that she "just turned 18 and is ready to shoot", at which point she did show up for
the appointment and my partner ended up shooting her since I was out of town at the time. She obviously hadn't turned 18 when she first emailed me. And of course the well known story about Traci Lords, who was underage but also
had a fake ID when she did her shoots. A state-licensing system to perform in adult movies would solve any and all issues addressed in this response.
In order to get a porn license, a would-be performer would basically present a drivers license, passport, or other official form of ID showing they are at least 18 years of age, show a valid SSN or related document that they are
eligible to work in the USA, get the required vaccinations, get a full-panel STD test including herpes, syphilis, hepatitis, HIV, gonorrhea, and Chlamydia, take some basic multiple choice test to ensure the performer knows what they are getting into (i.e., you are at risk of getting STDs, your family and friends will find out, etc), and pay their $50 or so licensing fee to the state so they can support the licensing system - and voila, all problems are solved!
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I have never seen the Family Guy, but I love South Park. I think South Park is a show produced by and for consenting adults, so I don’t see a problem with it. That is the beauty of freedom of speech. The 1st amendment isn't
there to protect the things that people don’t have a problem with. If that were the case, we wouldn't need the amendment. We don’t have an amendment for freedom to answer the phone because nobody has an issue with people
answering phones. The 1st amendment is there to protect speech that people don’t like. I may not like what some person has to say, but I will fight to defend their right to say it.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
Again, if the performers are there consensually and the people are consuming the material freely, then I am okay with it. From the data I have read, extreme pornography (e.g., depictions of rape, violence, incest, etc.) does
show increased aggression and sexual violence in the people that watch the content. This is not true of the more 'mainstream' pornography where people are having lovey dovey sex or 'fun' sex, like the reality college stuff.
Whether or not extreme pornography should be tolerated in society is really for the community to decide. Personally I think we have more of a problem with violence in mainstream television than in pornography. We are okay
with our kids watching a villan murdering hundreds of people in the Terminator movie, but if Janet Jackson shows a breast then we have a problem? I can't reconcile that. I would much rather have my children see a bare breasted women as opposed to watching Law and Order and
seeing some guy on trail for raping women as he drops off their bags from the airport.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
Yes, I was asked to do sex acts in public. I simply said, "Sorry, I don’t want to be arrested" and the director agreed to just do the g-rated pickup outside and then we shot the sex back at the location. As a producer,
director, or performer, I always follow the law and don’t do anything that would make any of the performers uncomfortable. The adult business is perfectly legal and legitimate in my view, and I don’t want to do anything
to take away from that image. I want to be a positive force in the industry.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
America has a fascination with sex because we were founded on religious principles. More people have been killed in the name of religion than anything else. I personally feel that organized religion has done much more harm than good in society. It's funny how we try to hinder sex in so many
ways in this country, yet our teen birth rates compared with the rest of the world are abysmal. In Europe where they dont have many restrictions on sex at all, people are functioning just fine. You don’t see crazy rape
statistics or teen birth rates that are worse than some third world countries. Only in America! ... or should I say, "God Bless America!"...lol
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other than themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?
I think most people in the adult industry, or any other industry, and concerned with making money. This is why they are in business. If they were more concerned about free speech, they would have become attorneys or
politicians. I think people in the adult industry are more concerned with free speech issues relative to other issues just because it's the nature of the business. Just as the guys at Nestle are more concerned with making money then whether or not there is Cocoa conflicts in the regions where the crop is produced, although I'm sure the latter concerns them more so than other political issues. The adult industry is so fragmented that it's hard
for the industry to organize effectively. It's not like the auto industry where you have just a handful of players and things are easier to organize as post of the revenue/profit is allocated across just a few companies.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Yes, I am the same person everywhere I go... porn scenes, parties, hanging with friends, etc... it's just me being my usual dorky self, trying to get laid, and making money :)
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
I did my first and only anal scene with Laney Barby for Vivid. It wasn't supposed to be an anal scene. She basically asked me if I could start in anal, to which I replied "I don’t do anal". She was shocked that I had
never had anal sex before, so she kept pushing the issue. During the scene she just grabbed my penis and put it in her ass... the camera guy came directly to my face and I have no idea what my expression may have been. I never saw the scene.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Yes, I am working on a documentary right now about the adult industry. I am also writing a book. Both projects should be completed this year and out in 2010. I also talk about porn very openly with everyone and anyone I meet
that expresses an interest. There really isn't any logical argument for why pornography shouldn't be available.
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the
portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
DVDs always portray 18 and 19 year olds because that is what apparently sells. People want to see young girls. Most of the webmasters I talk to say that young girls, and even solo sites with young girls, typically perform the best. Why do Honda Accords sell well? I have no idea, but they do :) I would also suspect that younger girls do well because there is less content of them out there. If a movie comes out with a 30 year old girl, she was likely in several other movies before that one came out. With the
18 year olds, there is only so much content that could always be floating around. But overall, I think it's the appeal of youth that really sells those DVDs.
13) What is your website?
http://DavePounder.comhttp://PornographyExpert.comhttp://BikiniSexAuditions.com
http://BlueJeanCreampie.com
14) Anything else you'd like to add:
I think condoms should be used in porn and the testing needs to be expanded to include herpes, hepatitis, and syphilis as a matter of disclosure and not necessarily as a right to work.

Amber Chase Weighs In Again! |
Sunday, January 10, 2010 by M. Dickinson
So like, in my first blog I talked about the porn-policies at University of Maryland, and the second one was about the sometimes negative perception of porn as filtered through the Carrie Perjean saga, but in both there was an understanding that I’m cool with porn. Now some people say that pornography is exploitative to women, all of it… from Jim Powers to Andrew Blake. There are some people that theorize that the way our society is designed, the format that has been encoded into the hierarchy of civilization building and whatnot is so oppressive to women that even when they enjoy these exploitative scenarios it is only because they are trained to respond that way and that they/we are essentially brainwashed by the system. Too dumb to give real consent if you read between the lines. *SIGH* that’s the most condescending piece of shit I’ve ever heard and it always kinda drives me nuts, but we’ll leave that for the lecture hall, and get to my point.
I wish that the word feminist actually had a meaning, it doesn’t anymore and maybe it never did, but for the sake of this discussion, lets just say there are right wing feminist and left wing feminist and between these tow schools of thought, I think that the left wing girls have a pretty good grip on why porn is not the down fall of our society and the soul sucker of the feminine possibility. They’re all about empowerment and owning ones sexuality, mmm I love those brawds. So what’s it all about…? Porn is ok because…..
There have been people that try to claim that pornography, even non violent, causes violence against women, despite numerous studies –by our most prestigious schools, learning hospitals and government- that watching porn is comparable to any activity that causes stimulation, like riding a bike or putting together a complicated piece of furniture. So that means that it didn’t cause the “hate women” area of the brain to pulse and explode or anything half as dramatic.
That said, the next line of thought is that the boys will want to do what they see and make the girls do it too! Umm some girls like that stuff it makes their pussies wet (previous theory on oppression aside). But really it’s not like pornstars INVENTED SEX, we’re just letting you watch what humans have been doing forever. Ever seen some ancient Roman frescos of people in naughty positions, or the Indian love temples covered all the way to the ascending point with orgies. Suppose the boys would take the girls to temple and say “See that statue’s doin it – if you loved me you’d do it too” You know how lame that sounds?
Personally I’d be more worried about the stuff that’s on normal television if your man is so influenced by what he’s watching oh my! Scary! Besides there’s counties that do not allow porn into their borders and they are among the most oppressive where basic human rights don’t really apply to women. Just like there’s no defense for murder along the lines of “the big screen made me do it”, there’s no rape defense that says if porn inspired you you’re off the hook. No, a rapist is a rapist- with or without porn. And historically the more censorship that is allowed within a society the more it limits civil and personal liberties for everyone but especially women. In fact, generally that sort of censorship coincides with the censorship of information about sexuality and reproduction or protection, which really messes young girls up as well as more mature women.
Now the other big sneer at porn is that it degrades women, it exploits them. Hmmm yes there is a hierarchy of power and pay back, the big companies are making big money, the smaller ones are making less, and the stars are just trying to keep the Industry standard at an acceptable rate and line up a project that has residual income attached to it.
Yeah maybe I should be making more, livin large, but there’s plenty time to get rich, I wanna have some fun right now. But that’s not the point, the question is does it exploit them more so than any other line of work. Think about it. And really what would happen in porn was banned and could no longer be made legally with all the stars being tested through AIM, and paychecks being sent through payroll, and all that jazz that makes it a legitimate business? I’ll tell you it would NOT go away it would go under fucking ground baby, and sure there’d be amateurs making it themselves, but there would also develop a seedy black-market with unethical shady dealings which no doubt would be taking advantage of the talent because there would no longer be the protections that are established in the system now and it would become a huge health risk; it would be fucked up. As for the assertion that porn is degrading, it is sexism and attitudes, and ways of thinking that degrade women NOT SEX. I mean the argument is that it somehow objectifies women, makes them into a sex object, and object, ok I guess I fuck objects, dildos, cucumbers, whatever, but, well most guys don’t (though they have some cool technology nowadays). Sure sometimes the camera fetishizes a nipple for a moment and then the sweet expression on a face and then the wide shot but really isn’t that kinda what you’re doing when you’re having sex, you focus your attention on your partners sensitive areas and…. Ya know what I think they people that pull out that tired argument just need a good lesson in lovemaking/fucking. It’s nice to be a well rounded character, but ya know what if the only thing anyone ever praised me for or focused on was like that I am super smart or make the best cookies, I’d feel like they missed out on a lot of over things, I’m a physical being too, a sexual being. And part of that sexuality is that I like to be watched, I love it, always have.
And of course you can get your chance to watch me at http://amberchasexxx.com

Interview with Lorelai Givemore! |
Sunday, January 10, 2010 by M. Dickinson
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the industry for about 2 years. I started off in the industry with my best friend and we started in the industry bc we needed to make quick cash and in the end I loved it, I discovered i am a nympho. I have had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
Not really
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
People in the adult industry need 2 forms of ID proving you are 18 and saying you are who u say u are. To get an AIM test you have to be 18 or older and people are not luring underage ppl to shoot pornography they just look really young. Signing a model release is stating you are 18 you are doing the shoot out of your own will.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I don't think shows like South Park and Family Guy are trying to offend people I think people make it out to be offensive. People write what they write to make things funny up the ratings so people will keep watching.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I don't think theres anything wrong about ppl who push the limits i have been in some of those films and ppl just have a fetish about the hardcore stuff and like it as long as they like it the more money ppl make and the more ppl get work.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or
the act anyway?
Nothing out of the ordinary
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I don't know why people have such a facination with sex but sex is everything. I follow Dr. Susan Block's theory of peace through pleasure. If everyone in the world would
fuck then there wouldnt be so much problem bc everyone is in bliss. I dont believe all of that but some. She believes in the bonoboway. Monkeys that have sex just to have sex with no rhyme or reason.
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to
make movies?
It's true most people only care about themselves and about there money, not even the newcomers care, they come and make a buck, and leave.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
No the character I play in the movies is not me at all, i'm kinda a split personality when i'm the normal me im boring work 8 hours a day kind of person and then i'm in the Lorelai personality who's crazy and wants to have fun and enjoys herself.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
The craziest thing I've done on camera?? Ummmmmm try to fit as many cocks in my mouth at a gang bang if you consider that crazy.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
No, because I don't really care what they think. People are allowed to have their own opinions that's their own and I have mine. There is nothing wrong with PORN STARS!
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
People like young, not a lot of people want to see old they want to see young fit girls, a fantasy girl, not a everyday girl.
13) What is your website?
My website is www.lorelaixxx.com but right now its down and being worked on.
14) Anything else you'd like to add:
I hope everyone who decides to get in the industry is safe and always, always, always, checks for an aim test. Be careful and always make sure people are legitimate
before you go over for a shoot. It could be any guy saying he's a producer.

Amber Chase Weighs In! |
Sunday, December 27, 2009 by M. Dickinson
I usually don’t follow celebrity frap, or even D-list entertainment drama no matter how inappropriate , but this Carrie Prejean thing has caught my attention now and then over the last year. There’s lots of different free speech issues that have came up during the ongoing saga, but her statement that her sex tapes were “the single worst thing(s since there’s more than one despite what she first claimed)
that she’s ever done” really gets me. The worst thing… a self made sex tape?, a solo sex tape, really?
I saw the footage of her answering the question at the Miss USA pageant (after the fact). I saw her throw a tantrum after she didn’t win and claim it was because of her views on gay marriage (which are offensive to my sensibilities but I completely defend her right to her opinion and awknowledge that it is a living debate in our divided counrty). It's a reason which, by the way, I think is a
perfectly acceptable reason to receive less points for or whatever, contestants are graded on several factors including personality and character. I saw the press
release when she asserted that her right to free speech was infringed upon even though she was a descendent of a patriotic war veteran and wondered how that was the
case. I smirked when she defended her right to make decisions about her own body by stating that the bible doesn’t say breast augmentation is wrong in any of the
scripture she’d read. I cringed at the horrid things she espoused during the press conference which she arranged announcing how this put her into the position to
advocate against the equality many are working for on behalf of gays, lesbian and transgendered people across the country.
I even felt bad for her when she couldn’t discern what Larry King was asking regarding her motives to settle her lawsuit without breaking her confidentiality clause, which no offense, didn’t seem all that inappropriate to me. But I’m not writing this to bash her, or point out hypocrisy, because despite the vastly different worlds we apparently live in, I respect everyone’s right to have their
voices heard and all that jazz. Now I guess vivid entertainment has access to these tapes and cell phone clips, and there’s a lot of back and forth about if and when
they’ll be published and when one can preorder their copies. Whether or not the video clips will be worth watching or even wackin it to, only time will tell, but
that original statement still makes my forehead wrinkle. Diversity is important, it can’t all be one way, debate is healthy. The only way I can see that her sex tapes could be the worst thing she ever did was if the tapes had been with another girl since she’s anti-sexual-freedom and it would set her cause back considerably.
Apparently the tapes are pretty vanilla solo girl masturbation type stuff (according to what I’ve heard on the internet). We’re all supposed to enjoy our bodies, and
these tapes were made to enhance an existing relationship, which all seems really healthy to me. Of course, it is important to be mindful that digital media can make
the rounds and that it has in infinite lifespan. So when you decide to take nude pix or to make an amateur video be sure you’re comfortable with the nature of what you’re doing. Perhaps I can’t go become a senator now, that I’ve done some erotic modeling and been filmed sharing intimate moments of slippery sweaty physical passion, but I don’t think that was in my plans this life anyway. So I’m totally comfortable with the decisions I’ve made, Wow it was fun!
Personally, I think that a more relaxed attitude about nudity and sexuality in this country would benefit those that are all tied up into what spiritual profiteers tell
them is the only way to lead an ethical existence. All actions have some sort of consequence, good or bad. So in everything we do we should be mindful. It’s not as
if what she was doing was morally objectionable, or consisted of anything that is outside of what is most communities considered normal sexuality in the most basic
definition. Why be ashamed of a display of your sexuality, for some people that’s among their most sincere moments.

Interview with the former Desi Foxx! |
Sunday, December 27, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I was in the industry for a year and a half. I went in following my daughter to make sure she was safe and didn't get taken advantage of. There were fun times working in the industry when we first got into it. Once we went to LA though, it got very political and wasn't fun anymore. You find that you can only succeed in porn if you're willing to let them use and abuse you which isn't really success at all.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
No. I think our country needs some level of protection against abuse in any industry and in porn it's all abusive due to the sick people who run it. I believe in freedom
of expression but not at ANY cost. Not expression that is unhealthy and harms the masses. We should still want our country to strive for excellence but there are people who use our freedoms to hurt and abuse people instead. That should not be protected unless and until healthy people are running the industry!
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
It's impossible to know if minors are used in pornography because it's so easy to get fake IDs. Producers don't care who you are as long as you have the required ID and a clean AIM test. They do nothing to verify if either of these are real and the younger you look, the more they want you. As a performer, you go on the set and sometimes you see the AIM test results, sometimes you don't. I never saw the IDs to
know if the performer I worked with was the same as the AIM test I saw. Many people working in porn have many names. They use so many aliases, you have no idea who they
really are. When you're new, you have no idea what to look for and what to know. No one tells you because once you start asking questions, they won't hire you. It's definitely a don't ask and don't tell industry. Some girls looked so young, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were underage. I know there's many who lie about their age to get into certain shoots. It would be very possible and very easy to be a minor and work in the porn industry
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I used to argue with my kids about watching South Park and I still think it's a show kids shouldn't watch. I watch it now and agree with many of the messages they are conveying. These are shows for adults, not for kids but too many children watch them without getting the messages. They don't understand them so they just get the outlandish behavior and then emulate it which is bad. There needs to be a better filtering system that keeps these shows from children.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I hate it and always have. Even more so since I worked in porn. Again, there's lines that just shouldn't be crossed and these companies definitely cross them everyday.
They take people to places that are best left unknown. I believe the producers of these companies and others like them are hardcore sex addicts that can't enjoy normal sex anymore so they have become depraved. Their work reflects this and they shoot it for their own sexual pleasure, not the customers. They then push it on the customers to bring them down to the same depraved levels. They are rapidly taking the entire world down to a sexually depraved state of mind. Customers, especially the young, now think that this is normal sex. It's sad and somewhat scary to realize
our youth think porn is the normal sexual relationship. Sad but true!
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or
the act anyway?
I have and I did do the scene. You need the money to live so you compromise sometimes. I'm not proud of that fact but that's reality sometimes. Interracial porn is very offensive most times and the things I did in interracial porn would be illegal in any other industry. Scenes with fake daughters and sons in the room are also offensive and should be illegal. That was a message my daughter and I tried to get across. You'll notice after we came into the biz, the biological sister acts went away. There's still fake stuff out there
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Because we don't have a healthy attitude about sex. Religion in our country has pushed our country into sexual deviancy. Sex is healthy and normal. Porn is not! We don't have to be married to have it but sex should be between people who care about each other or in the case of casual sex relationships, it should be mutually agreeable that it's casual. Instead, our country is full of fakes and liars that scam others for their own sexual gratification. That's what the porn industry's real motive is for the productions they make. They are sexually depraved so their work is the product of using others for their own sexual deviancy and warped gratification. It's not healthy. Anytime someone uses another without their informed consent, it's not healthy and harms others.
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to
make movies?
The only people in the industry who think about protecting freedom of speech are those who want it protected so they use it to abuse others. Unfortunately, that's the hard, cold facts about the porn industry. The others don't even think about porn in these terms. New performers just have no clue at all what they are getting into and what's going on around them.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Not really. You play the character the producer tells you to play. The themes and plots for porn videos are 99% outrageous and not how anyone is in real life. I enjoy sex and think it's healthy so that shows in my work regardless of what role I was told to play. The roles themselves were not healthy and not really about enjoying the sex. It was about showing women being fucked as hard as possible and keeping the genitalia open so the viewer could see it all. All performers say the same thing off camera and behind closed doors. It's a job that pays better than most, you don't really enjoy it or have fun doing it.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
Most of the interracial scenes I did were crazy and offensive. I did a couple that depicted mother and son or daughter in the same room and very close during sex which
was disturbing and a cuckolded scene that was just plain stupid. I don't understand anyone wanting to see these type of videos. Like I said, I think it's the producers
who enjoy them and then push them on the customers who watch for the "extreme" fascination of something so weird. The shock value of it all.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Absolutely. I went into the biz with the idea to take porn to a healthier place and show healthy sex on video. I found it was very evil and degrading so I quit and have been a voice against the entire industry ever since because they don't want to make it healthy. They also lie to performers about the safety so I have joined forces with others to fight for full panel testing and condom use. The companies don't care about the performers lives. It's all about the profit to them. As the world finds out how abusive and scheming the industry is, their opinions about consuming it are changing. They want porn made fun and healthy. The average consumer does not advocate abuse and corruption just so they can have their porn. That's a fact!!
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
They are promoting pedophilia because most of those in the industry are pedophiles themselves. As I said before, they are hardcore sex addicts who cannot get sexual gratification from normal, healthy sexual situations so they push the limits. They also love to see young white girls abused because they didn't get the pretty girls
when they were in school. 18 and 19 year olds are naive about sex so they are easier to use and abuse then older women.
13) What is your website?
I currently have two blogs. http://PornInTheValley.com and http://DesisDesires.com . I shut down my adult site when I quit the biz because I can't promote something that is unhealthy and abusive.
14) Anything else you'd like to add:
As an American, I embrace our freedoms but I also embrace a healthy humanity which is what our freedoms are supposed to protect. Using our constitutional rights to abuse and do harm to others is not what they were intended for. The Coalition for Free Speech being on the side of these perverted porn companies and producers makes me wonder if they are true perverts themselves. These organizations used to protect Americans and make our country the best, make our people proud to be here. Now they use the laws to promote issues that harm people, hurt our country and they are turning America into the toilet of the world. Not what our founding fathers had in mind, that I'm sure of!

Interview with Milan! |
Sunday, December 27, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the Adult Industry since 2006. I got started by wanting to fulfill a simple fantasy really. I always wanted to express myself sexually on film. Then I
decided I wanted to create something different and do my own productions.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
Honestly, anytime anyone wants to control my life as an adult and limit what I want to do yes I get concerned. As long as the actors are of legal age and abide by other laws and want to perform then I don’t really understand why anyone has a problem with it. The fact is it is a multi- billion dollar industry. Either there are a whole lot of hypocrites in the world or a few people are really missing the big picture……..People want to watch porn!
3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn". Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having an AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
People always want to judge the “whole” by a few bad seeds. Legitimate pornographers do not try to lure minors. They don’t need too as there are an abundance of girls 18, 19, 20 and 21 who want into the industry. The problem is underground criminals who break laws and want to call it porn. Those criminals are no different than thieves, rapist etc…. That is not legitimate porn that is
criminal activity. So why don’t people with a problem focus on what the problem really is? In every walk of life there is the bad element. A good example: In the catholic religion there are how many priests that have abused children? Do we hold that against the entire Catholic organization and proclaim the entire catholic religion is bad? NO! Because it’s not the religion that is bad; it the one or twenty bad PEOPLE who are criminals and need to be prosecuted for their illegal activities. So, if people want to really protect the children……….then go after the criminals. The sad truth I think is……….the people
who have a problem with porn don’t really care about the people really breaking the law or the children……….they are just offended that certain people don’t follow what their ideal of a proper life is. If you want to fight the abuse of children then focus on the criminals that are out there. Yes it is more difficult to attack the real issue but prosecuting the people who do not break the law doesn’t protect one child. My advice is to focus your time and energy into finding the criminals who go underground.
From my experience legitimate porn goes to extremes to insure the safety of the actors. All performers first must be 18 years of age or older. I wouldn’t have any issue with raising the legal age to 21 but its 18 and all performers must have two valid forms of ids. They must also be tested through AIM for aids and others STD’s such as gonorrhea, syphilis, etc…. If you go to a shoot without your id’s and test they will cancel the shoot period. Agents and producers tell you if the other actor does not have their ids and valid current test do not shoot with them under
any circumstances. I have not run into one company that wasn’t 100% adamant about this process. I have seen shoots cancelled because a test was one day older than it
should be. The actor thought he had another week. He didn’t and the entire shoot was cancelled. The producer told him to never come on the set again without his
test being valid or he would never shoot him again.
Again, I have always been asked if I am doing this of free will, I sign model releases explaining and verifying my age, I have to provide two forms of id’s and a current test from AIM. I have never ever seen anyone trying to solicit a minor. Legitimate porn makes too much money they are not going to risk everything for one underage model. They don’t need too.
I love South Park and Family Guy……….For the life of me I cannot understand why people do not believe or understand our rights. Now for all the bullshiters who say: well we don’t want our children to be exposed to this………THEN BE A PARENT AND SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN. STOP USING TV OR THE INTERNET AS A BABYSITTER. INSTEAD OF LEAVING YOUR KIDS ALONE FOR HOURS ON TV OR THE NET WATCH IT WITH THEM OR BUY THE PARENTAL BLOCKERS.
Listen I know being a parent is a hard job. You can’t possibly be with your children every minute of every day. But honestly………..maybe I don’t agree with all the extreme holly rollers either on TV – in fact I was scared to death that my kid would be brain washed by some damn cult on TV proclaiming to be religious. So, you know what I did…..I limited their time in front of the TV to when I could sit down and watch it with them – until they were old enough to understand the difference between right and wrong and could use their own sense of logic and reason. The fact
is how I live my life has the most impact on my children. They will do what you do……not necessarily what you say. So, be a parent and make sure your children know
what they can or cannot do and don’t use the TV or the internet as a babysitter so you don’t have to be a parent. Get off your high horse and take responsibility for
your family. If you as an adult don’t like the show…….exercise your options and change the damn channel.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
Well that depends on what you mean by pushes the limits? Again, if everyone is of legal age and in complete consent………..then why do I or you have a right to tell them
what they can or cannot do. I do notcondone at all be it a minor or an adult being forced to do anything…..period. But, last I heard forcing someone to do sexual acts
is considered rape and that is illegal. Call those ass wipes what they are and put them in jail. THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMANT PORNOGRAPHERS. Legitimate pornographers don’t
need to force people to express themselves sexually. Underground criminals who exploit children, rape men and women on camera are not pornographers. They are rapist, child molesters and killers. They are sick people and the people who get off on watching others be hurt are just as guilty. Prosecute all to the fullest extent of the law.
I do not think it should be illegal if two consenting adults that are sane and understand the consequences of their actions to themselves and want to do anything
that sexually turns them on for them or for others to watch. I am personally not into bodily fluids, or watching a person be caged until she pukes etc… that does absolutely nothing for me, I would never be able to understand what it does for another person, but, if it floats their boat, more power to them. You know what I just want buy it because I don’t like it. So, if Max, Kink or JM Productions are
legally hiring people who like to act out however they see fit......more power to them. I personally love Powers who is a director and may even be one of the owners
of JM Productions-Mr. Jim moves me.....
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
Never! I never even felt threaten on at scene in any way what so ever…………….I honestly really believe a lot of people don’t really understand that there is a lot of “acting” in porn. There are directors, make-up artist, scripts, etc…. Yes, there is real sexual contact and intercourse but there is also a lot of acting. Seriously……
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
Because we are a part of a bigger picture – our basic nature knows that sex is how we procreate. It just so happens that the act of sex feels so damn good. It makes
us feel alive, it lets us leave our problems behind for a while, makes us feel strong, young, needed, loved, in control, out of control, naughty, sexy, adult………………in general it makes us feel good. Who doesn’t love the touch of another person on their skin; the whisper of what is to come in their hear; the excitement ………………… the climax……………….porn is just one of the visual tools some of us use to stimulate our minds, body and soul.
8) You are at the highest level of the adult industry. A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other than themselves
and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?
You will find as many people in porn (new or not) that care about protecting free speech as you find anyone else in any other profession wanting to protect their constitutional rights.
Unfortunately, most people don’t want to take a stand unless it has an impact on their life. Again, that is just not the people in porn in just many people in general. We are a society who likes to take the path of least resistance but like to proclaim otherwise. Now, I do believe there are people who are so passionate about life and their freedoms they are willing to fight for it and go to war for it. But, many of those issues revolve around things that may cause danger to their
livelihood etc…
I personally think the biggest problem in our society is the lack of understanding about our rights as a US citizen, the lack of understanding about a process in general, and many people thing because they believe something that is the only way……
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Oh, of course. I am a little bit of Milan and Milan is a layer of me.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
What is crazy! Ha haaaaaaaa I guess that would be strapping on a toy to pleasure a very naughty man!
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
I have participated in many discussions. If people got to know me I believe some of their opinions would be changed. Unfortunately, I think many people still don’t understand that the majority of men in women in legitimate porn really
like making it.
News flash: Thousands of people love making porn and millions love watching and willing to spend their hard earned dollars to do so. I believe the majority have
already spoken……listen up!
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
We as a people are fascinated with youth in general. This is not specific to the porn industry.
1. Many of them state the age to make sure that people understand the actors are legal and it is not child porn
2. We all knew at 18 and 19 that sex was such a turn on for us …………some people like remembering that feeling; some like the toned younger bodies etc….
3. Why do we think the industry is so caught up with the portrayal of MILFS?
4. It is legal, the girls making aren’t forced……………It’s only natural that people are going to love watching it. Why not?
13) anything else you'd like to add:
It is my hope that before people try to make or change laws based on their personal preferences they take a step back and look at what the implications of these decisions could be. What would that mean to their own freedoms and rights as an Americans? To really try and understand the bigger picture opposed to just seeing all of life from their perspective. Do they really want to be governed by the
thoughts and ideas of one man? Do they really understand the constitution and how destroying will destroy our America? I pray that we as a people learn to focus on
the real problem makers and resolve those issues opposed to seeing an entire organization as being bad. It is time we stop blaming everything around us for the problems we have at home and work on making our home what we want it to be………….that means taking responsibilities for our own actions and just not being so preoccupied with how others want to live as long as they are not hurting others and not breaking laws.

A models perspective: Toni Leigh |
Monday, December 07, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) What is your connection/concern with free speech?
I'm a supporter of free speech =)
2) How do you feel about what is going on, do you think free speech is under attack? How do you feel about our defenses to the attacks?
As much censorship as there is in the USA, we actually enjoy more free speech than most of the other part of the world. I DO believe expressing one's views are important. However, I think we, as memebers of this society, have a responsibility to consider the consequences of our assertions before we make them. Poeple that say malicious or sensationalist things just to hurt others or fulfill their need for attention should be recognized as thus, and shunned by popular culture.
3) When you take photos or come up with ideas/themes do you ever worry they will offend someone or push the limit?
I don't worry per se, but I do have my own limits. I have notions of what I think is inappropriate, and that is a personal choice.
4) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I've been a model for over 5 years. It's been a great ride. I just wanted to do modeling, people told me I should be a model, so I did it.
5) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips/photos?
I think people should be free to use their bodies any way they see fit, as long as they are NOT hurting others, or being exploited themselves. If adults participate these projects of their own free will, I think they should be able to. I do not think it's appropriate to market these products to young people. Long story short, people have to act responsibly and be accountable for their actions.
6) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set or shoot, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc?
I'm personally not involved with the "adult industry" - I don't shoot nudes. In terms of photoshoot, there are definitely all kinds of photographers, just like there are all kinds of people. You just have to use your good common sense. If you feel something is exploitative, speak up. And yes we all sign releases, contracts, provide id, and tax info.
7) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
NO! They are hilarious!
8) Who are some of the photographic influences you have or photographs you have been influenced by?
I'm very interested in the simplicity yet complexity of black and whites. I do a little photography myself so I'm always looking for creative elements in composition, lighting, effcts etc. As far as influences, I enjoy a wide range of styles from Avedon, to Liebowitz, to Dali, to Maplethorpe.
9)Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I do think the US is a little puritanical, and I don't mean by imposition of religious ideals. Italy houses Vatican city yet the Italians are very open about their sexuality. I think we should all loosen up a bit. I believe in family values, the truth, freedom, and respect. If you got you shit together, why not enjoy a little?! (remember though, to not hurt others as a means to your own gain)
10) Do you think there is any interest or any great concern amongst artists of all types- writers, photographers, etc- that there rights are under attack?
There is always going to be some antagonism, from the days of Socrates, Galileo, Darwin, to the thinkers of today. We just have to fight for what we believe in.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
I don't have any ongoing public campaigns or anything... haha. But if someone gets to know me, they would know that I am so much more. I don't need to explain something that is self-evident. And if they can't see that, then it's not worth the time explaining
12) What is your website?

Interview with Celeste Mulet |
Monday, December 07, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I've been in the industry for about four years now. I started with nude modeling, my first gig ever was for philflash.com and it was so much fun.
Shortly after I did that, I started dancing at a gentleman's club called Pharoah's in Buffalo NY. They were really good to me there so it was a very good way to get my
feet wet. The girls were really cool and taught me a lot, pole tricks, how to give a good lap dance. I cried my last day when I moved, I know, super lame huh?! Overall, I've had fun. I stick to what I'm comfortable doing and if I start to get burned out with one thing, I move on to the next or just take a break. I think that's really important. It keeps things more relaxed and you remember why you got in in the first place. That's why I stopped filming, it got too stressful with trying to get bookings and it just wasn't fun anymore.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
Honestly, not really. I think legally they have all the rights they need. Not too mention, most have lawyers that get 'em out of anything anyway.
The only thing I could see is restricting some of the free sites because it cuts into the production companies profits and really puts the pinch on everyone.
3) Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the
legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
In the US, especially the LA scene, I don't think there's a lot of "luring" minors. It's illegal and it's not worth the risk, they can just as easily find an 18/19 year old that looks young and portray her as 14 or 15. The sets are very strict with making sure they get proper id from you, that you're tested, that you are coherent and not under the influence of anything. It's pretty much, "hi how are you? Sign this this and this and I need your id for copies." I haven't personally met anyone that's used minors. Again
though, most of my work was in LA where they're strict about that. I think if you go to other countries, it can be a different story.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
Family Guy is one of my favorite shows in the whole world! I don't get offended easily, especially by cartoons because they are made to be funny. I think if you're offended, don't watch it. If enough people are like you, the ratings will suck and the show will get yanked. If it's back on season after season, maybe you need to lighten up and not take life so seriously.
Too many people can't laugh at things anymore and I think it's created a lot of problems. Fuck PC, let's start being honest and laugh about it.
5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
Funny thing is Max Hardcore was my first boy/girl scene ever. Personally, I think a lot of stuff is nasty, I don't see it as art or beautiful. I think there are people who are
attracted to the "wow" factor and I think there are also people who have negative conceptions of sex and like to see violence and humiliation. Obviously, Max pushed things a little too far because he wound up in jail from what I understand. And honestly, after meeting him, he's definitely disturbed, they guy's not right. He was definitely one to push the idea of free speech, which in some ways is good. What it comes down to basically is, if people are willing to produce it, act in it, and buy
it and it isn't hurting anyone, then there really is no harm. I think it's one of those issues where you can't blame pornography, you need to examine the underlying
issues and fix your society.
6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or
the act anyway?
Speaking of Max Hardcore! lol He was my first scene because he was practically begging my agent at the time, Shy Love, to book me for a scene. I didn't want to do it at first because the whole thing was kinda gross to me and I felt it
was too much too soon in my career and could end up hurting me, which I think it did. But I finally agreed to go and at least talk to him to see if we could work something out. I was asked if I would do anal, get pissed on, vomited on, have my ass fisted, snort lines, and I'm sure some other stuff that I forgot by now. I said no to all of it and agreed to a scene with him and Nikki Nievez and it turned out fairly hot I guess. I've never done anything I wasn't comfortable with doing. I've always stayed true to my personal values and I don't compromise myself. That's when
you end up waking up hating yourself and your life.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I think humans as a whole have a fascination with sex, which is natural, it's what keeps us in existence. I think America definitely tries to regulate the sex industry more than certain places. My belief as to why they do this
is because a lot of American's are hypocrites. Being in this industry, especially dancing at clubs, you learn that you never know who is in to freaky shit and who's not. I've had guys in expensive business suits come in and have a bra and panties on underneath and an anal plug in there ass and they want me to kick them in the balls.
When in front of the wife, they say strippers are the most disgusting things on earth and clubs should be illegal. They lash out at it to cover there own obsession with it. Again, that's just my personal belief though.
8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to
make movies?
I think some people care but I think it's the minority. Most people in the industry are really only concerned with
making money. That's really what it's about. Most seem to want to get in, make all they can and set themselves up. I don't think most are affected by it so they don't pay much attention. To most of them, they're working everyday so it can't be that bad. If some law came along that affected how much money was coming in, then they'd probably care a bit and hold a picket sign but that really doesn't happen.
9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Here's where I blow it for my fans! ha! I don't know, I guess sexually yes, I like to have high energy fun sex. I'm considerate of my neighbors though. I don't like big dicks
though, not into any of the crazy shit like fisting or anything. I'm not super promiscuous, I'm pretty laid back, jeans and t-shirt kinda girl. I don't have tons of partners. I'm married and that's the only dick for me, girls can come play once in a while though.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?
I was the first to do an ass smoothie!! The ass smoothie scenes I did were definitely some of the more crazy scenes. All I can say is soda and pop rocks in your ass is one of the most indescribable feelings ever.
11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Earlier on I think I was more up for promoting the industry. It's weird though because the deeper in you go, the more you see people in porn living up to some of those stereotypes so you really don't feel like fighting for them. Not saying all are like that, there are a lot of really awesome people in the industry but there are also a lot of crack head freaks with daddy issues.
12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?
Because of how much money they make off of it. Again, if people weren't buying it, they wouldn't make it. If you look back through the years, there is always a hot
genre, big bushes, big titties, gangbangs, whatever the case maybe. This one seems to be sticking around a bit longer which again is a question of what's wrong with
society not porn. Porn is a business just like any other. It's about profit margins and if the people are buying, they're selling. Blame capitalism not pornography.
13) What is your website?
I don't actually officially have a site now that I'm
retired. I've been running an entertainment company in here in Chicago, http://elitegirlsentertainment.com but fans can always keep in touch through myspace, http://www.myspace.com/sexxxyceleste

Interview with Roni Raye and Kink Magazine! |
Monday, November 23, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) What is your connection/concern with free speech?
We have been in business for almost 16 years. We have never been targeted by anyone. We're pretty tight with what we sell, since were mail order business. Since we have switched over to a magazine format its a completly different thing. We've always been more or less into the underground newspapers and publications. It's where 90% of readers and buyers are.
2) How do you feel about what is going on, do you think free speech is under attack? How do you feel about our defenses to the attacks?
You should have asked me before Obama took office..If you had asked me while that asshole Bush was in office I could
have given you a huge list of things we were pissed off at..Weve only had the current admin in a little over a 100 days and so far so good.I like Obama and I think he's what this country needs. Instead of same old white guys we've had since this country started..
3) How long have you been in the magazine industry? How did you get started? Where'd you get the idea? Have you had fun in the industry?
Since we began in ( 1994 or so)..We started this out of a need to make something different that I hadnt seen on the shelves. Were are and will continue to be a different sort of publication that you wont find anywhere else..(theres nothing like us out there.) Ive been at this since forever and I still havent found anyone doing what we do.When
we started there were only 4 million web sites.
The net was just taking off and I could see what was going to happen to it..We ran into alot of people who were stuck on the net being what they thought it would be. Turns out we were the ones who were right.
We did run into alot of assholes who turned off our emails and accounts in the begining..but that changed we haven't had any problems.(this was all years ago.).We sort of stopped doing hardcore porn about 4 year back and now were like tits and ass but on a more cuter and cuddley level..We may go back to shooting videos again, but with a different angle then what we were doing..We definetly not the same company we were when we started out.
4) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips/photos?
The court system has fixed alot of this. We're not in LA or NYC , so I dont know what the pro-companies go thru with there locals. We are a magazine that is in between FHM/STUFF and softcore porn..We dont show the harder stuff.
Although we do interview the porn stars who do them. Our magazine wont make you grow hair on our palm if thats what
your asking..Im not really concerned with how the Adult Industry moves..(thats what we have Lawyers for.)
I dont think you will ever see "porn" go away..it makes way to much money and people are always curious..
5) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?
I can't stand Family Guy, and I watch South Park on occasion..I like Robot Chicken. ( Seth Green is a genious ).I like some of that stuff. but its so watered down that I cant really watch it for to long. DeathClock I think is a riot..and some of that stuff is ok.
If someone is offended by stuff like that then they need to see a doctor..its a fricking cartoon..ease up..You want to be offended.?
Watch FOX news or any news station when you see shit that goes on over seas or what ever..there plenty of reality stuff that is way more shocking then the cartoons.
6)Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I dont think that they have a facination with sex..its that they have problems with there own morals and they want others to have the same problems. If they have that much free time on there hands to worry about what other
people do..then they should get a second job..something like feeding the homeless or work at a womans shelter or
with people who have drug problems..then they would realize that "sex" isn't the worst thing in the world to worry about.
7) Do you think there is any interest or any great concern amongst artists of all types- writers, photographers, etc- that there rights are under attack?
Should have asked this when GWB was in office..right now , nothing.
8) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
Not really.I think that anyone who like what we do is ok with us.Were not trying to change peoples minds.I never set out to do that.I did set out to offer what I think is a different slant on things..thats all.If I like it..maybe someone else will like it as well.
If I sat around and thought about what I can do to change peoples minds, I would have lost mine..its far to big
a subject to wrap my mind around..I like gritty stuff..But not something you would (or should) get offended by..
Were like a train wreck..you check it out and then go on you way..if you want to see more..then buy our mag and take alook. We have alot of people who have shown an interest in what were coming out with..Way more then we did when we were doing the porn stuff. We're much more people oriented now..Before we were stuck in a narrow band of buyers..Now its way over the top.We can sell to almost anyone and anywhere and get more people interested in what were doing and going to do.Its alot more fun now.

Interview with Rebecca Avalon! |
Monday, November 23, 2009 by M. Dickinson
 1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I got started in the gentlemens club industry in 1999. I was teaching elementary school, and couldn't afford to eat! My first club was the Spearmint Rhino in Upland,CA. It was just a bikini bar, and I drove 55 miles one way so I didn't run into any parents or the creepy vice principal! I have has a BLAST over the past 10 years. I love the independent, driven women I work with.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry, or more so, the rights of women to be able to dance or "strip"? Why do you think gentleman's clubs are always being raided by the police or authorities or targeted? Do you think they have a bad reputation? Is it deserved?
Yes I am concerned with the rights of gentlemens clubs. However, I welcome licensing and liquor restrictions because it preserves the integrity of the club. Requiring entertainers to be licensed is a method of both quality and human trafficking control. Upscale gentlemen's clubs that serve liquor usually must adhere to stricter contact laws which provide a safer environment for the entertainers.
Strip clubs definitely have a negative reputation in the mainstream press, which is fueled by the third tier clubs that DON'T adhere to licensing and documentation. I think the overall quality of clubs will improve once stricter standards are enforced.
3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that the industry is always trying to lure under age people in. What do you think?
The only thing luring underage kids to the industry is the
glamorization of it in pop culture. All the pop princesses are doing pole dancing and every hiphop/top 40 song has references to strippers.
Strip Clubs are very much a part of mainstream culture, just like learning how to drive and turning 21. Thus, its no wonder youngsters can't wait to be old enough to partake in the "fun" as it is portrayed to them. All the clubs I have worked at require an ID and some even make entertainers complete IRS tax form I-9 that releases them from the responsibility of having to report our earnings to the IRS. Personally I have never worked at a third tier club, which is where minors can slip through the cracks.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?
I think South Park is hilarious. Many people just can't handle blunt sarcasm.
5) Do you watch adult films, "porn"? What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I personally don't watch much porn. When I do, I prefer Skin-e-max style soft core style porn to hard core images. I find outrageous porn to no be a turn on, but more of a "omg, you won't believe this" circus act. I joke that my income would skyrocket if a got a third breast implant...everyone would buy a dance just to see it!
6) What do you think about the various laws in strip clubs throughout the country? In Virginia there is no liquor and pasties/t bar but in Maryland its full nude with full liquor. Why do you think the standards are set so differently?
Laws are usually set by the state liquor control board. In some places, like Florida it varies by county. Orlando is very low contact, but Tampa and Miami are not.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
America was founded by Puritans. Is it really a wonder why the moral majority is fascinated with telling other people what they can and can't do?
8) How and when did you start your website?
The foundation of http://stripandgrowrich.com began on my personal myspace page in April 2007. I started blogging about how to be the Victor of the strip club industry. I made contact with lots of other like minded Superstrippers. In May 2008 I took over DancerWealth the original stripper sales school in las vegas. I combined the blog with Dancerwealth and put it online.
9) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?
My focus is not to change the mainstream medias representation of us. Rather, my focus is to empower the women working in the strip club industry to embrace it for what its worth: a low overhead cash flow business. Using traditional marketing and business methods I teach
them how to run a stripping business instead of just be someone dancing. I also teach basic personal finance and offer life enrichment courses, so once finished I have trained entrepreneurs!
