1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?

I've been in the adult industry for less than a year. I was modeling in New York, and decided to make adult entertainment my primary career. The industry has been great; it's definitely a lot of fun.

2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?

I'm very concerned with the rights of marketing our products in the adult industry. I'm a consenting adult taking part in producing erotic entertainment for consenting adults. There is nothing wrong with that. Though laws for adult material/entertainment have become
quite strict due to the amount of people that want to regulate sex.

This is a multi-billion dollar industry. It isn't going anywhere.

3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the Misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn".

Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?

The adult industry is for adults only and would not want to advertise the promotion of sexual abuse towards children in any way. As far as shooting, whether its solo, softcore, hardcore or anything that produces adult content, we must have at least two forms of legitimate identification every time for keeping records. The talent must sign a model release consenting to the distribution of the content they are producing. They are also signing the release with their signature confirming that they are of legal age. As far as health and safety concerns, talent is required to be AIM (Adult Industry Medical) tested every twenty-eight days for any viruses or infections that will enable
them to work. Without being tested, they are unable to work.

4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy?

What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?

I remember growing up watching South Park--it's hilarious. I've never watched Family Guy so I can't say anything about that one. I don't get offended unless something is pointed in a direct manner towards me.

It's freedom of Speech which gives us the right to speak freely without censorship or limitation. Whether it's a cartoon or not, this is our first Amendment right and people abide by it. People should stop worrying about cartoons and worry about things that really cause
havoc in our life.

5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?

I personally have not seen any of their finished products. Adults have consented to doing the work for those companies. Nobody can force anyone in the industry to do anything that are not their intentions.

We are our own boss. It's definitely not the type of work I would consent to, but everyone has there own fetish and I'm sure that some viewers enojy it.

6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?

The hardest thing i've ever done was wait 18 hours on set. Other than that, nothing has been offensive or illegal. If I have ever had a thought about a particular act being offensive or illegal, I would not involve myself with it.

7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?

I feel that America has other things to worry about other than sex.

Americans think quite differently than the average Europeans regarding sex. Our fascination is the result of regulation towards sex. Possibly for the protection of young ones...who knows?

8) You are at the highest level of the adult industry. A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true?

Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?

Whether a person is in Adult Entertainment or not, some people just dont care or don't want to become involved in protecting free speech. Hopefully those that do make a difference for the people that don't. I'm sure that the people who are very orientated within Adult Entertainment care about and have the concern for free speech and
protecting the right to produce movies.

9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?

The character I play is really who I am in real life, except in my movies there are limitations and on my personal time there are none.

My movies bring out more and more of who I really am to the public. Half of me is the elegant xxxSupermodel and the other half is all about the action. "Angelina Armani: The Big Hit" is a prime example of who I am. There is no exaggeration to who I am in my movies; it's simply the best of me.

10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?

Actually I haven't gotten to that point yet (on film). In my personal time everything is crazy, but on film I'm taking it slow and easy, building up up my comfort level.

11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?

If I observe that a person does not have the correct information about the industry I will usually inform them, but I don't go out of my way to change everyone's thinking pattern. Everyone has the right to their opinions. All I can do is lead by example.

12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?

Younger people (of legalized age) give off a higher sex appeal. In reality, older men like to date younger women. The industry just feeds off of what the typical male fantasizes about, therefore it sells.

13) What is your website?

AngelinaArmani.com (which is coming soon)

Interview with Kayden Kross!

Monday, March 30, 2009 by M. Dickinson

image: Interview with Kayden Kross!
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?

I've been in the industry for a little over 2 years. I started with solo magazine layouts and worked my way up. The industry has a been a lot of fun. Most of the jobs involves getting paid to have a social life.

2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?

Yes. It seems like a lot of the cases brought against adult film makers end up hanging on arbitrary legislation.

3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn".

Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films
or the web?

I think more than any other group adult film makers are afraid of "kiddie porn" because of the gravity of what would happen if they made a mistake on talent. I have never heard of any company purposefully making "kiddie porn" in the US. It's my understanding that most of this content is
made in foreign countries. Directors and producers are stringent about model releases and IDs. The famous cases of "kiddie porn" actually coming from American companies don't even involve "kids". They involve underage females
with fake IDs who are developed enough to pass as women. Traci Lords is a prime example.

4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?

I think the beauty of shows like that is that they point out how hypersensitive we are. Those shows are as free to create the content as the viewers are to change the channel.

5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?

I'll be honest I've never seen content from Max Hardcore or JM productions and I'm only vaguely familiar with the kind of content that Kink.com puts out but I do know a lot of the performers who work for Kink.com and as a group they seem to genuinely enjoy the work. So when you're asking about content that is being created between willing and able performers, by willing and able adult film makers, for willing and able consumers who are restricted by age and have to be motivated enough to enter a credit card to access it, then I don't think it matters what I think.

6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?

No I haven't. The company I'm contracted to produces very vanilla content so I've never been put in the position. The most uncomfortable thing I've had to do is film in a house
with no AC in July.

7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?

I would say you answered your own question. We have a fascination with sex because it's so regulated.

8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true?
Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?

I think the people who have long term interests in the industry and are more invested in it are more concerned with the legislation surrounding it, but in my experience that's true of most industries.

9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?
Often, yes, only more exaggerated.

10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?

My male talent was made up to look like a morlock

11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?

Not very aggressively but yes

12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?

It sells. look at your run of the mill male fantasies- babysitters, cheerleaders, schoolgirls.... even hollywood sexes these roles up. The girls in the fantasy are always sexually developed but I do think the appeal is the fresh-faced girl next door aspect.

13) What is your website?

www.clubkayden.com, blog is www.unkrossed.com

Interview with Sienna Sinclaire

Tuesday, March 03, 2009 by M. Dickinson

image: Interview with Sienna Sinclaire
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?

I've been in the adult industry for over 5 years now. I got started by working as a cocktail waitress in a strip club in DC. Then I became stripper and started dancing in New York at the famous Scores and appearing on Howard Stern. I would dance between NYC and Vegas.

After dancing I got into what I do know with my website and directing my own videos and photo shoots.

If I didn't like it then I wouldn't be in it. It's not for everyone. If you don't love it, it shows.

2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?

Anything that affects the adult industry in a negative way affects me. I have a great lawyer who guides me with knowing all the laws and my rights in this industry. He is well-known and at the forefront of helping the adult
industry. There are some great people who have helped the adult industry come a long way and to them I'm very grateful.

3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn".
Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films
or the web?

No matter what laws we have in place, there are always going to be people who break them and that includes perverts who take photos of underage children. That's why we have the laws we have to protect these kids.
Unfortunately, we can't protect everyone. People will always find someone to blame for something and that includes blaming the adult industry.

There are photographers out there who are not "associated" with the adult industry and prey upon underage kids. People who are in this industry and are serious about it, make sure they know the laws and follow them. The
adult industry is a tight-knit community where we all work with the same girls/guys, photographers, studios, attend the same parties, industry events, etc. The people who are serious about this industry wouldn't risk it by hiring underage models or by not having their models have AIM tests.

I hire adult models all the time for photo shoots and videos. I make sure everyone is over 18 by showing me their ID, having an up-to-date AIM test, having them fill out a 2257 and model release form. I had to turn away a
very well-known fetish model one time because she wouldn't fill out the 2257 forms. She's new in the industry but very popular. She agreed to do a photo shoot with me and I asked her for her ID which she gave to me and to fill
out my 2257 and model forms. She was hesitant because she kept saying that photographers had never asked her to do that before and I told her that I would NOT shoot with her if she didn't. Unfortunately she has worked with
photographers before that didn't look at her ID or if they did, didn't have her fill out the 2257 form which is required by law. So she said she would do it and got into hair and makeup and started shooting. I went in to the
studio and asked her if she had filled out the paperwork that I gave her and she said no that she would fill it out afterwards. I told her absolutely no. She was not to shoot with me period until she filled out her stuff so I
asked her to leave. It's that simple for me. This is my business and I take it serious.

4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?

Absolutely not. I love Family Guy and think it's hilarious. The only thing that bothers me is when people act as if they never make fun of or talk about other people, race, etc. We all do it, period. Life would be boring if
we didn't make fun and offend people. I just think that there's a certain way to go about it.

5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?

I love them all. I'm in the fetish industry but you do what you are comfortable with. There are things out there that I would never do but I don't care what someone else does. Everyone has something that gets them off and we should never look down on someone just because they might like
something we don't. I don't believe in doing anything illegal. But there are ways to act out a fantasy that is illegal in a legal matter, such as a rape fantasy. Many people have this fantasy whether it's the girl or the guy.
Just because you have this fantasy doesn't mean you want to be raped or rape someone. It's just a fantasy that can be role-played between two consenting adults.

I think that by having these websites, it helps many people to feel normal. Just imagine if you had a fantasy and no one to share, act it out with or websites to visit. You would feel as if something was wrong with you, as if
you were weird for having that fantasy, etc. By having these websites, it helps people to find others with their fantasy, someone to act it out with and share ideas. I think it's perfectly healthy as long as it's legal and
you have two consenting adults.

People act as if these websites are too extreme and people are going overboard with new fetishes and pushing the limits. It's not that way at all. These "fetishes" have been around for thousands of years. People just
weren't allowed to talk about them or if they did they were considered weird or a freak. Before people kept them "underground" or in "the closet" but now
people have no problem coming out about their fetishes because of these websites we have.

What's weird to one person is not weird to another. I think two people having "vanilla sex" everyday of their lives is weird.

6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?

No because I only do films/video for my own production company and trade with other models so I know what's legal and what's not. What do you consider "crazy"? Because what you consider crazy, I may think is normal. If I ever felt uncomfortable about a scene then I simple wouldn't do it because it will show on camera that you're not comfortable. I always make sure my models are comfortable with a scene, if not then we change it up a bit so they are comfortable or I get someone else who is.

7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?

Because it's the oldest profession in the world and considered by many as a sin. People have a love, hate relationship with sex because many are religious and it conflicts with their beliefs. They like sex and want to
have it but their religion makes them feel guilty about it. If you look at the history of sex, which I study in-depth, there was no concept of sex being a sin before Christianity. The Greeks and Romans had no problem with
having sex, orgies, or seeing prostitutes. It wasn't until Christianity came about that sex was considered a sin to where you shouldn't even have sex unless it was for making children, sex was only allowed on certain days
which meant it was only allowed on one day and at a certain time. The list goes on and on. It's so silly.

I think that the reason America has a problem with it and regulating it is due to religion. If we took away religion and how kids are brought up to think about sex, it would change things a lot.

The same people who are trying to pass laws to prevent prostitution and regulate the adult industry are the same people who see prostitutes, watch our porn and visit our websites. They put on a mask for the American people
but behind closed doors, partake in the "sins" that they are trying to regulate. Again it goes back to a love, hate relationship with sex. They have to show the American people that they hate it and are against it to
give the American people what they want so they can keep getting votes but they love to partake in it.

8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have
any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?

I don't think people would be in this business if it didn't make them money. Many people get into this business because sex sells and it's easy money if you do it right. You're always going to find people who are in this business
for all the wrong reasons and don't care about anyone else but themselves and making money. But there are people out there who are very serious about this business and take an active role in protecting it. I know many people
and my lawyer is one of them.

I'm very grateful to these people who are paving the way for us to be able to do what we want in a legal manner. As I mentioned before, there are people who are not "associated" with the adult
industry but get in the business just to make money. Then there are those that are "associated" in the adult business and attend all the seminars, join the adult industry blogs/websites to keep in touch with other industry
professionals, such as myself. Just like any other business, you should treat this as a business and attend social functions, seminars and get involved. Those are the people you can tell are serious.

9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?

Yes. Before I got into this business there was a side to me that I would act out in my bedroom. Guys always considered me a little kinkier than other girls they dated. To me I just thought it was normal. I've always been a
sexual person which is why it's easy for me to get into character for my films. These are things I do now in the bedroom to my lovers when I'm not on camera.

10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?

To me, I don't think anything I've done is crazy b.c. it seems normal to me To others, it may seem crazy.

11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?

I teach sex classes on my website, at seminars and one-on-one along with giving people advice on sex and relationships. I know that my classes and helping people, who want it, do help to change their opinions about the
industry. Especially since I'm in the adult business and make porn videos.

Some see the industry as seedy but when they see me, my website, take one of my classes or get advice from me they form different opinions. A lot of people see me as classy and like me for that reason because they usually see
the porn industry in a seedy way. But to them, here is this pretty, all natural, girl-next-door who is approaching it in a classy way.

So yes, in a way I am helping people to see the industry in a different way. Porn has come a long way and it's not seen as seedy anymore. There are boutique lingerie stores selling sex toys, books, and porn videos that women
are no longer ashamed to walk into and buy these items. People's perceptions of the industry are definitely changing. It's now cool to go to Vegas to see
all your favorite porn stars at the AVN Expo and to go to strip clubs with your girlfriend or for girls to go with their girlfriends. People's opinions about the industry will change but it's still going to take awhile.

12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?

The sex industry caters mostly to men. The world is obsessed with staying, looking and being young. Men, as they get older, want to feel young and wanted so to feel that way they go after younger girls. You always see older
guys with nice cars and younger girls because this makes them feel youthful.

Younger is associated with smooth, firm skin and firm boobs. Most men want to sleep with a younger girl because they think she's going to have a tighter pussy than someone older. Sometimes it's about the innocence of a younger girl or the younger girl who looks innocent but is really naughty.

I prefer older men but when I see a young hot guy with ripped abs, I get excited. I don't blame guys for wanting younger, it's in their genes too. It's programmed in men to want the younger girl because she's ripe and ready
to conceive. I also think it's something in men's brains that they can't control due to human nature.

The porn industry is into whatever will sell at the moment. Right now MILF's are very popular.

13) What is your website?

www.siennasinclaire.com. I offer a little something for everyone. From glamour, swimwear shoots, pinup, burlesque, different fetishes, to watching me on video with some of your favorite porn stars and so much more.

14) Anything else you'd like to add:

I also teach online sex classes on my website along with teaching them around the world at different seminars or one-on-one. I've been on Playboy Radio giving sex advice and have more radio shows coming up in March. I perform burlesque acts here in LA and around the world. If you'd like to see me perform or attend one of my sex classes then visit my website to view my calendar. Or I can teach one-on-one classes by emailing at sienna@siennasinclaire.com.

Stay tuned for another website of mine that I will be launching in March called The Single Girl at www.thesinglegirl.la. It will be up within the
month so keep checking back. This website covers articles I write for different magazines, advice on sex and relationships, classes I'll be
teaching and so much more.

Interview with Vanessa Chaland

image: Interview with Vanessa Chaland
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?

I have been in the adult industry for 6 years. I started by buying Frontpage, filming some fetish content in my basement with a couple other girlfriends, found some cheap hosting and there it went. It was a hobby really, but as a fan base grew, I added other types of sites and saw
that some decent money was there to be made. However as I have a short attention span, after some time I grew bored with the original sites, closed them and just worked on my writing, blogs etc, got another degree, did some
real estate deals before the market crashed and then started other adult related projects.

2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce sex aids/furniture/goods?

Very much so. Attitudes and laws are cyclical. As recently as a 100 odd years ago prostitute's were well respected in some cultures. Archeologist's have found hand carved dildos in China dating back 6000 years. Adult sex toys, books, movies, devices are nothing new. Throughout the ages at time
people were persecuted for their manufacture or for owning them, at other times it was not an issue. The current hysteria is something that will pass.
It might be a few years, or a hundred years but it will cycle back. One can note a direct correlation between religious fundamentalists having more
power and the oppression of all things "adult". Ultimately though, as their power wains and attitudes become more liberal, law enforcement resumes actually doing their jobs, (finding criminals etc) and freedoms and free
speech regains its rightful strength and place in society.

3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn" or
corrupt people who have no interest in sex. Could you talk about what it is actually like in the industry?

Lets see if we can grasp what their "evidence" is behind these assertions. According to our detractors, Little Johnny (age 9) runs his paper route after school, gets paid, goes home and decides to download some porn. He
gets online, finds a site he wants to join and whips out his credit card to,,,,,,,, Wait a moment. Little Johnny does not have a credit card! No credit card, no joining adult sites right? Lets talk about little Sally (age 13). Sally makes extra money from odd jobs, babysitting, cleaning house for that nice elderly lady down the street
on Thursday afternoons etc. So Little Sally after raking in the big bucks decides to get some porn. However, Sally has very specific interests. No run of the mill down loadable porn is going to satisfy Sally's tastes. She is
heavily into lesbian foot fetish and needs actual DVDs to view on her Big Screen. So she what,,,,, whips out her credit card, orders from an online
fetish DVD store and has the goods delivered to her secret Post Office Box which she rented herself as a minor and travels across town to on her bike?

Both above examples are totally preposterous! News flash: The majority of people in adult are business people. They are trying to make money to pay the mortgage and fund their offspring's college educations. The notion that
they are targeting minors is asinine as most kids have NO money! Forget for the moment that the majority of adult site and store owners are parents and
have no desire whatsoever to expose their kids to adult appropriate material. Why would they target a demographic that has no money, no credit cards, no real ability to purchase their products? Only nimrod jackasses
would claim this as a good business model.

And as anyone with a brain knows, pedophilia is a disease. It has nothing to do with being gay or straight. It has nothing to do with being horny, hard up, unable to find a date. It has to do with some seriously unbalanced
individuals that need to be removed from society to protect the innocent people of society. This applies to the Catholic Church as well. Actually it applies specifically to the Catholic Church.

4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?

I watch very little TV, no Cable, no Satellite and am not familiar with the shows you mentioned. Therefore I have no further comment on that topic.

5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions? Or sexual items that may offend people- anal beads, nipple clamps, etc?

I think the operative word here is consent.
Minors can not legally consent to virtually anything, as it should be.
Someone in a comma can not consent.
A rape victim did not consent.
A quadruped (or other furry animal) can not consent.
A person who has "expired" and is not longer living can not consent.
So minus kids, animals, rape, dead bodies pretty much everything else is consenting adults engaging in consenting activity, or filming, watching, viewing or reading about whatever activity that other consenting adults are
engaged in. To that end, it is none of anyone elses fucking business!
Consenting adults have the right to do what they wish with other consenting adults. This includes toys, whips, movies, dildos, Jello, rope, books, and whatever else their harmless sexual expressions and sharing with others
might entail.

6) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?

Lingering puritanical ideals and hypocrisy are the foundations of our current mess in America as regards sex. The odd thing is that it appears to be the religious right that is mostly obsessed with sex. They seem obsessed
with regulating what sexual acts are "Jesus Approved" (according to their interpretation of scripture) what artificial devices are allowed, what positions people can copulate in, when, whom will be fucking whom, where,
what time of day, what location, whether or not its for procreation or pleasure. Dildos, condoms, gay, straight, anal, sodomy laws, S/M, Lesbians, gay rights, porn, Janet Jacksons bare breast (I mean come on, that issue is
because she is black and of "that" Jackson family, Shania Twain would have caught no grief), and then of course more serious issues like stem cell research and abortion.

I would be negligent to not point out the one obvious hypocritical aspect of all of this. Usually when a big name famous person gets busted with an underage hooker, sucking dick in a men's airport restroom, hiring a pro-domme for spankings, hitting on underage staff, pages, interns, sucking cock with male escorts while engaging in a little recreational meth smoking, banging the church secretary, hitting on the baby sitter, it is almost *always* someone from the far right religious lunatic fringe who spent
countless hours railing against, and enacting legislation against those same activities they just got busted for.

7) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true?
Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?

I think the majority of people are worried about protecting free speech. No doubt a certain percent interests lie in self preservation. They may only
care as it might affect their income and freedom. However the majority are concerned on a vastly deeper level. Those that have actually read a book or two on our founding fathers. Those that grasp the notions of the separation
of church and state. Those that understand the importance of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. I also would submit to you that a large percent of adult webmasters are not residents of the USA and they are not only not familiar with our issues of free speech but would profit by our
losing it. Meaning shut down all porn production in the USA and people from other countries will now "own" the market and profit from it. It would be to their financial benefit if the USA did apply censorship in print, visual
media, books and online.

8) What is the craziest sex item/aide/furniture you have developed?

A combination Queening Chair, bondage table, spanking bench that filled a room, weighed about a half a ton and had to be dismantled to get it out of the workshop. Yea, I don't undertake projects of that size anymore. :)

9) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?

Endlessly. Articles submitted and posted in regular media, blogs, forums, social networking sites and so forth. Thousands, if not tens of thousands of articles. Debates. Providing concrete studies and facts to support my
arguments. Pointing out that there does not exist one single, not a single one, responsible study that supports the oft repeated claim that "porn is bad" for anyone, of any age actually. In fact any responsibly done study
shows the opposite, the expansion of the human mind, reading, exploring, contemplating new ideas, dreaming, fantasizing is good for human beings, sexually related or not.

The worst part of all of this is when a person writes to me seeking council about their desires wherein, due to oppression and societies pressure, have no outlet. For example, a 74 year old retired farmer from the mid-west who
was a war veteran and spent a lifetime suppressing a sexual fetish or desire. This guy fought for his country, spent a lifetime working long hours in a brutally hard occupation, raised his kids, put them through college, always paid his taxes, was a good steward of his property, a good neighbor,
a good friend, a patriot, a model citizen but has lived a double life out of fear because some god damned self appointed, do gooder religious crank has an issue with his desire to do a little cross dressing on the weekends in
the privacy of his own home (or a spanking fetish, femdom, gay, foot fetish or whatever). I mean all the guy wanted was the occasional adult magazine or movie to enjoy. Who the fuck does anyone else think they are and what gives
them the god damn right to deny this guy his little fetish?

Interview with James Deen

image: Interview with James Deen
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have
you had fun in the industry?

almost five years. and it has been very fun. i got started by hooking up with girls from hollywood and sure enough one of them had an in.

2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?

i am however it isn't my place. if i could do anything to help the situation i would.

3) A lot of the problem people have with the adult industry is the misconception that "pornographers" are always trying to lure under age people in and make "kiddie porn". Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having
ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?

i have never heard of that misconception. i have never met anyone in porn who is not repulsed by child porn. on every set the producer requires two forms of id's and makes copies in addition to taking pictures as backups. no one has any desire to shoot that stuff. the only people i have heard of to do anything like that is with tracy lords and that was before my time.

4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing the offends people?

it takes a lot to offend me. neither of those shows ever do.

5) What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore

it is 100 percent legal so it doesn't matter what i think about it. i personally think that peoples taste don't matter.

6) Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
no

7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?

i don't think it is america i think it is humanity. people like sex... there is nothing wrong with that

8) A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don't care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money. Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?

a lot of the people in the industry aren't interested because there isn't a lot of acts that are easy to do. everyone cares and if they don't then they just don't understand what the problem is. i think it is something that needs to be protected at all cost. i love the constitution and this is part of it that should not be amended.

9) Is the "character" you play in your DVD's anything like you in real life?

i don't play a character unless it is part of a plot.

10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you've been in on camera?

i don't really think i have done anything crazy.

11) Have you been involved with trying to change people's opinions about the industry?

no. people will believe what they believe there is no point in trying to change their minds.

12) Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of young- a lot of DVD's always say "18 & 19 years old" etc?

it sells

13) What is your website?

don't have one

14) Anything else you'd like to add:

nope :-)

Interview with Tom Byron

image: Interview with Tom Byron
In the time you have been in the industry how have you seen free speech issue evolve as far as the content you have made, the legal fights?

I was thinking about this the other day. I was driving in on Las Vegas Boulevard and saw the trucks driving with the AEE award ads and in driving past the Mandalay Bay and seeing the big sign advertising the awards show, when 25 or 30 years ago, there was no advertising. When the industry started coming out to Vegas we were kind of like the bastard child of the entertainment industry, kind of shuttled off into the corner. We have moved into more mainstream acceptance which has played a big deal as too how far we have come along with free speech.

Do you think the adult industry is more accepted?

In some ways more accepted in other ways less accepted. We still have ridiculous obscenity prosecutions going on with John Stagliano and more recently my old friend Rob Black. He still has his case coming up going to trial in March and of course Max Hardcore, actually going to prison for making a fucking movie in 2009. That is ridiculous. That is obscene, just the fact that someone can be in jail and can be potentially killed for making a fucking movie that some people don’t like. That is absolutely ridiculous. You have people like Bernard Madoff and the fucker is still walking around free. It is unreal. Hopefully things like that will change under our new President. We’ll see.

It’s interesting you mentioned Max Hardcore. A lot of adult industry people don’t want to talk about him.

Our business is hypocritical and they’re judgmental people in our business just like there are in any business. The bottom line is if you really care about free of speech, he’s the guy that we need around to test those boundaries, and yeah he’s not a pleasant guy and here and there maybe there were a couple girls who had a unpleasant experiences on his movies, but the bottom line is he is going to jail for making a fucking movie with adults who are consenting who are over 18. That should be hands off as far as I’m concerned for incarceration or legality.

Another big argument a lot of people make is that they try to portray this industry as one of child pornography that preys on children, as it has been one of the main ones made by Mary Beth Buchanan, and the government in the case against Rob Black. If you read any of the studies this simply isn’t true.

Mary Beth Buchanan is a cunt. Remember the fucking name. She is a cunt. She is running for office; please don’t vote for this cunt. Don’t vote for her.

A lot of people don’t really understand that movies made by the adult industry feature real adults and that the adult industry has no want or desire to prey on juveniles. Do you know of anything like that? Is there anything like that at all?

No because that is not a part of the porno industry. It never has been in my experience and I have been in this for almost 30 years. I have never seen child porn, wouldn’t know how to get it, and wouldn’t want to get it. We have the most stringent record keeping requirements of anyone in the entertainment industry, which incidentally do nothing to keep juveniles from getting in. We all police ourselves. There is no market for child porn and no connection between child porn and the porno industry.

There are plenty of girls over 18 who want to be porn stars?

Exactly. We have more than enough girls over 18. We don’t need any who aren’t at least 18.

When you shoot a scene do you ever worry about being obscene or doing acts which may be considered obscene or might push the envelope or piss someone off?

My movies are just about me having fun with beautiful girls. I mean I don’t really push the envelope much, but you never know what may push an envelope in this society. I mean I like girls to lick my ass, maybe in South Carolina or Virginia that may be considered obscene to some people I don’t consider it envelope pushing or obscene. That’s what you got to remember. It may not always be the content that will get you in trouble. It may just be the whim of a local prosecutor or some judgmental fundamentalist asshole who doesn’t like rim jobs. That’s why we need to draw a line in the sand. If you are over 18, consenting, and not hurting anyone leave us the fuck alone. If you don’t like it don’t watch it. If you don’t like it don’t watch it.

What is the whole fascination that conservative society has on the adult industry?

Sex is a great motivator. It’s what get’s people up in the morning. It’s the reason we want to drive a nice car, have a nice house, be attractive to women, it’s the main motivator of what gets us up in the morning. The fact that we are open with it is why people respond to it. It is such a strong part of our fabric. We are fulfilling a need like anyone else.
